Herobrine's POV:
I wait silently in the room, hidden from all, knowing they will come in sometime, and as predicted they do. The hybrid can't help himself from the urge to follow the magical aura, he's lured here in entrancement and by burning curiosity like all mortals even though he knows it's a bad idea. I suppose the storm I conjured up helped a great amount as well, the endermen race typically do not like water, in fact, it is like acid to most of them, I suppose he can call himself lucky he doesn't have that same reaction to water as his ender race. The two managed to complete the small puzzle on the door, a small test, they both wander in and look around, seeming amazed by the architecture and magical properties of the room. I call to the Hybrid mentally, so quietly, he is lured over by a trance once more so easily. He comes over to my diamond so close, he reaches out and nearly touches it. Yes, just when I think my plan is going so well the Dragon Keeper ruins it and pulls him away quickly, I don't pursue them, wouldn't want to injure the dragon egg accidentally but in my fury, my power surges and the hybrid feels it, ending up with yet another small migraine. The two take a moment by one of the side walls in the room, closer to the exit, to recover and to talk. The talk is quite emotional and boring to me, the only part that really catches my interest is when they mention the one that used to be in their group that I took when he decided to jump at me over lava with a magical blade. They still seem to miss him, the Dragon Keeper even seems to be worried I'll take the hybrid next, which may be true at a future time. In fact, I never planned on taking that one from their group, to be honest, I was after the hybrid the entire time knowing he could be suitable for the certain purposes I require. It was a challenge to figure out how to get him to allow me in, though knowing that collin fused a part of himself with the hybrid as a desperate attempt to try to escape me, I believe Armen was his name, his dear brother, and friend. I decided to use that to my advantage, and in the end, it worked perfectly. He was so desperate he did a spell to try to save the one I took, or should I say possessed? Despite me having to use the boy to save myself at the time it still worked almost unexpectedly well when the hybrid took a part of me onto himself, a slight invitation for me to slip in and I accepted it quite easily. He has quite a decent amount too from the spell and breaking my diamond while he was so close to it even though he may not entirely realize it. He can feel my power but I know he never uses it, at least never too much at a time, as he knows I'm there, hiding in the back of his mind waiting for that certain moment when he uses too much power and I can slip in and take control. His life force is quite strong and it grants me this new profound strength, I must be mindful to be careful and not use him up too quickly, mortals are quite fragile and this one could be a valuable asset to me. It was quite disappointing when they broke my diamond, not only for me but they ultimately ended up destroying their friend in a way. My trail of thoughts is broken when I hear quiet footsteps towards the doorway and three more people enter the room, what infuriates me is that they are from the empire! The two led them here where my diamond is!? Sometimes I hate that the dragon keeper is still hunted by the empire, that dragon egg was never the empires to keep to originally begin with, I don't like it in any mortals hands but I prefer him over the empire, I will destroy everything related to the empire if I have to, its surprising they have not fallen already. The hybrid and the dragon keeper don't seem to notice the three yet, one of the three seems very interested in my diamond and that one makes an attempt to try to sneak past on the far opposite wall but ends up kicking a loose stone on the floor giving away their position. The two others give the one that revealed them all a harsh glare before he bolts right over to my diamond and grabs it. A willing, greedy volunteer I see, I don't like him near my diamond, but he wants it, and I don't hesitate to grip hold of him with my power, he can have a piece of my diamond. He struggles to get free now, second-guessing things at a moment too late, and lets out a shriek of terror as I show myself to him, and only him. I'm furious at him, I let out my own shriek, but it is of rage, how dare he touch my diamond!? It glows brightly and my power greatly overpowers this fool near my diamond, his eyes quickly go dull, and I let my power finish off the rest of him. Afterward, I ease back into the shadows once more after I lay claim to that one's soul, and though I could have kept him as a vessel he was far too weak to handle the certain purposes I require. During this time the hybrid nearly fell down in agony, I have a feeling the hybrid knows I'm here by now, he heard my call of rage and as usual, he often feels my powerful aura around when I'm near, perhaps a bit too much as I ripped that scout apart. As for The Dragon Keeper, he's in combat with one of the scouts, one that decided to stay and fight, the dragon keeper isn't doing too well in the fight though as I sit back and watch. How hard is it to defeat a single empire scout!? I realize the scout is beating him, using some tactical strategy to push him and corner him near the wall but he's very focused on the dragon keeper, a bit too focused, and I could use that to my advantage. I glance over at the hybrid, he's just getting over his agony, and realizes the dragon keeper needs help. As he charges I help him just slightly and lend him a bit of my power to strike true and with great strength, I do so hate the empire's men. He catches the scout completely off guard as expected due to his main focus on the dragon keeper and the hybrid hits him with a perfect strike and manages to send him tumbling into a wall. The scout falls unconscious from the strike shortly after the two come over, taking his weapons away, and binding him up, talking about setting up camp and interrogating him for information, I doubt getting him to talk will be easy for them. The two leave the room with the scout to find a decent campsite around the caverns nearby as they planned, I'm certain they will be able to handle that scout fine now, but I glance around again, where is the third one? I'm certain there was a third scout, perhaps that was the second shriek of terror I heard in the background that rang out around the cavern as he saw one of his companions disintegrated. At least he's not as foolish as the other two and actually ran while he could, ran out as if his life depended on it and like I was currently chasing after him, which I still may. I suppose I have a scout to hunt down before sunrise, I can't have word getting out and more of the empire's men coming here where my diamond is, then again, I could re-locate the diamond elsewhere but that requires a lot of time and power, Iv seemed to use up too much of each to properly relocate it to a safe location. I could relocate it tomorrow night though once Iv rested and recharged for the day, just have to take care of that one scout so he doesn't bring any more men from the empire over here and with that, I head out of the cavern and into the dark stormy night, to begin a hunt for this empire scout that had managed to slip away.
Herobrine POV Continued:
I make haste as I head out into the dark stormy night within the woods, searching for any signs of where that empire scout may have gone, he couldn't have gone too far, and yet I have lost his scent just a few feet outside of the caverns. The storm is working against me now, It will settle by morning, the time I plan on taking a rest, not out here on a hunt for a scout that managed to escape. He had plenty of a head start to run, I was too focused on the one by my diamond and now this one is gone. There are some tracks but the rain has washed away most of them, he has no injuries, and I do not sense him nearby. I continue on for a few hours, easily taking the high ground up in the canopy of the treetops to get a better view and have followed what tracks I could discover as I phase around like a shadow through the night. It annoys me so much that this one may have actually managed to escape, I know he isn't on the run anymore, most likely took cover from the storm in a very hidden location indeed. One of which I can't spot him from the skies, and I already know there are no more caverns nearby this one. I know he will bring back more from the empire if I cannot find him, assuming he makes it to the empire and doesn't die from hypothermia. They may as well send more men from the empire anyway due to being after the dragon keeper and the hybrid still. I spend a bit longer on the hunt without any luck, the rain itself doesn't bother me, though the fact it is messing up my tracking skills some, and that I can't find this scout now does annoy me quite a lot. It's nearly sunrise and I head back into the caverns to the room where I keep my diamond. I don't have trouble handling a few more of the empire's men if some do come back here, but I should prepare for any more unexpected and uninvited visitors such as them. I spend some time preparing deadly traps around the room, and once I finish the final touches I seal the main door shut again and reset the puzzle to enter. I retreat back into the shadows, hidden from sight, and begin my rest, a light sleep-like state where all of my senses still work.-Credits for the art go to its respective owner(s).
