When you woke up you had quite the headache. You wanted to sleep in longer, but your mouth was so dry. You needed to get yourself some water. When you finally decided to wake up you slowly began to realize this wasn't your room. There was a bottle of water and pain medication on the nightstand next to you. After taking the meds and chugging the water you remembered you fell asleep before you could tell Seto where you lived.
That was a bit embarrassing. You didn't remember much after that. He probably had to carry your fat ass to bed. Speaking of bed, the room you were in was huge. He could probably afford a nice place compared to your little apartment. You got your phone out and noticed the 10% battery life left. Then you noticed the time. You were fucking late for work.
You flung yourself out of bed. Maybe if you and Seto hurried you'd be able to make it without getting fired. You ran out the door and were greeted to a huge ass hallway. You stood there a bit stunned. This was not an apartment of any kind. You walked forward admiring the place a bit. He must work really high up in the company to afford this.
As you walked further you noticed the place had an indoor balcony to the living room. There was a huge chandelier in the middle of the ceiling. You leaned in for a closer look at it. You couldn't tell if the candles were fake or real.
"If you lean any further on the railing, you'll fall over. I can promise you the marble floor will not be nice to you." You heard a voice behind.
You turned around a bit spooked by him. "You live here?!" You almost yelled at him.
"Yeah." He said like it was obvious.
"Is that why you're such an asshole?" You asked.
"This is a very strange way of thanking me for last night. I could've just left you." He replied.
"Oh. Thank you." You said a little more quietly.
"You're welcome." He replied.
Then you remembered work.
"Fuck! I need to get to work! I'm so late and so are you!" You exclaimed a bit panicked.
He laughed a bit. "It's fine. I called ahead for both you and Yugi. You won't have to go in today or worry about it."
"Oh! Thanks!" You said.
"Would you like to get some breakfast?" He looked at his watch. "Brunch?"
You laughed a little. "Yeah. I'd like to get some brunch."
He led you down a double staircase foyer. Shit made you feel like a princess. Oh god Seto must've had to carry you up these. That must've been a bitch.
"Hey, so how did you get me in here?" You asked.
"You don't remember?" He asked in return.
"Was I awake?!" You asked again.
He laughed a bit more. "When you came in your first words, we're 'this bitch rich' then as I helped you up the stairs you made many comments about how muscular I was. Then after I put you in bed and walked away you mentioned I was "double cheeked up on a Thursday afternoon'"
He had a slight blush when he mentioned the muscular part but looked confused at the double cheeked up comment. You were screaming mentally on the inside. Praying to whatever god would hear you and let you die. But no, you didn't get to die. You got to drunkenly hit on Seto and hear about it.
At the bottom of the stairs, he led you down a hallway and towards a kitchen. You tried to lag behind, but he made sure you didn't follow behind him. You were so embarrassed you didn't even make eye contact with him. He led you towards a table near the kitchen and sat you down first before seating himself.
"So, what would you like to eat?" He asked.
You forced yourself to look at him, embarrassment eating you alive. You couldn't go that whole breakfast not looking at him. You told him what you wanted to eat, and he told his chef. Within a few minutes the food came out. It tasted fucking delicious. It took everything in you to not scarf it down like a fucking animal.
"You don't have to be embarrassed about the comments you mad. You were drunk." He said.
The fact that he was acknowledging it didn't make you feel better but you tried to put on your best 'I'm fine' face. Maybe switching up the conversation would help.
"How can you afford all of this? I thought you were a businessman?" You asked.
"I work high up in the company." He replied.
"Must be a really nice job." You stated.
"Sometimes. It gets a bit boring though." He said.
You laughed a bit more. "Is that why you come down to the coffee shop? For the little bit of chaos I bring into your life?" You asked teasingly.
He smirked. "It could be."
"Wait, if you're so rich why're you getting coffee from a coffee shop?" You asked.
"Connivence. I get it for the caffeine not the taste." He replied.
"That makes sense." You replied.
"So, what brought you to the coffee shop?" He asked.
"I'm just trying to figure out my place in life. Can't do that without money so I work there till I figure out what I want to do." You replied.
He nodded at what you said. You both continued on with your breakfast and finished. As the maids were cleaning the table you and Seto got up. He took you back upstairs to collect your belongings and then to a garage. He had three luxury brand cars.
"Is that a-
You were cut off. "A Rolls-Royce Ghost."
He opened the doors to the car and the garage doors. You got into the car and it was so clean. It didn't smell like a new car though. It smelled like men's cologne. It smelled nice too. You stopped sniffing the air when he got in though. Oh god were you devolving a crush?? You gave him your address and his put it into the cars gps. This was the nicest drive you had ever gotten. The car ride was pretty silent though. The roof of the car had your attention though. Before you knew it you were finally home.
"Thank you for everything today." You said.
"You're welcome." He replied.
As you went to leave you felt something holding you back. You turned to see Seto grabbing your arm.
"Yes?" You asked.
He looked a little nervous but composed himself after a while. "Do y-... Can I have your number?" He asked.
"Yeah!" You replied.
You both pulled out your phones and exchanged numbers. As you were putting his name in you realized you never got his last name. You thought you knew it but guess not.
"What's your last name?" You asked.
"Kaiba." He responded.
"Kaiba." You said as you spelled out his name. "That's funny. Like the company that owns..."
Suddenly everything just clicked.
