As he drives you home it's a bit quiet. You pass time looking out the window again. As you start to recognize things you realize the date is almost over. It was pretty fun and you're a bit sad it's ending. He slows down before finally stopping in front of your apartment complex.
"Thank you for tonight. It was nice." You said.
"You're welcome." He replied.
"I'll chose where we go next time though." You remarked.
"Next time?" He asked.
"If you want to see me again." You said a bit softly.
"I do." He replied while grabbing your hand.
You both leaned in slowly. His eyes were a really pretty shade of blue. Deep blue around the center with a ring of dark blue on the outside. As he closed his eyes you followed suit. Gently you could feel his lips on yours. Each kiss getting a bit bolder and more passionate. You felt his hand move to your face.
You tried to move closer to him but it was a bit hard to move since the cars center console was in the way. But he stopped kissing you shortly after.
"Sorry. It was getting too much." He said.
"It's fine! I should probably head inside anyways." You replied.
"Can I walk you in?" He asked.
"Yes!" You reply.
You both get out and you link arms. You lead him to your apartment. You both stop at the doorway. You give him a hug and tell him you'll see him tomorrow at work. You turn to go inside when you notice the door is unlocked.
You were sure you locked it before you left though. That's when you notice shoe prints on the door. You back away from the door before turning to Seto. You watched as his eyes scanned the door and put the puzzle pieces together.
"Was it locked when you left?" He asked in a hushed tone.
You nodded as a reply.
You watched as he slowly opens the door to your apartment. You follow him as he goes in. It's dark but you can make out that some of your belongings have been strewn about. You flip on the light switch to see what has been done.
As soon as the light floods the room you see the mess. Countless things broken on the floor, some of your clothes ripped to shreds and strewn down the hall to your room. You peek into your room. The stuffing looks like it exploded out several kitchen knives stabbed into various pillows.
Your room wasn't even the worst part. Along the walls various liquids and carvings etched into the wall. You try to read some of it even though a lot of it just looks like the person was just trying to cause damage.
"Gold digging whore, die, ugly, he bel-" You read some out loud.
"Stop." Seto interrupted.
"Sorry. We should probably call the police and the landlord." You said.
"I'll call the police, call your landlord." He said as he pulled out his phone.
You did as he said. You gave your landlord a call. You tell him what happened and all the damages that has happened. He tells you that he'll have to wait till tomorrow to fix it since it's late but that you should stay somewhere else tonight.
You turn to Seto who's still talking to the police. It wasn't too long till he hung up. He told you that the police were on their way. You looked around for a place to sit and wait till they came. But even your couch was fubar.
"Welp. This was not how I was expecting to invite you over to my place." You joked.
He didn't laugh at that. You both kinda stood there awkwardly before the police showed up. It was a pretty fast response time.
They took photos and asked you and Seto questions. You both explained that you were out on a date and you came home to this. They ask if you have any enemies or something. Seto explains his stalker and that it was most likely her. Once questioning was done they tell you it's best that you go somewhere else until the door get fixed. Both you and Seto watch as they leave.
"Pack up your things and meet me at the car." He said.
"Meet at your car?" You asked.
"Yes. You can stay at my place for the time being." He replied.
"O-okay!" You said as you watched him walk out.
You'd usually try to say no to the offer but who would pass up a chance to stay another night in a mansion. You collected what you could salvage. A few t-shirts, a pair of athletic shorts and shoes. You also grabbed some toiletries that she hadn't completely destroyed.
Once you had gathered things you left. You made sure the door closed. The door was a bit warped but somehow still locked. You locked it again even though you were pretty sure it would probably be broken into again.
With that you met with Seto at his car. You got in and he drove off. Once you had arrived he drove into the garage and you both walked into the house. He was greeted by some of the house staff and you followed him upstairs.
"Do you remember where the guest room is?" He asked.
"Is it that door at the end of this hall?" You asked in response.
"Yes. I'll see you in the morning." He said as he headed down another hallway.
That's probably where his room is. You make your way down the hall and open the door to the guest room. You set your stuff down before changing into the shorts and a t-shirt. You climbed into the bed to try and sleep.
It was a little hard. Your place was a mess. Seto's stalker was targeting you. You still had work in the morning. You tried to calm your mind by thinking of some positives. The police would probably find her and charge her with something. Your landlord would get things fixed.
The stress was a bit much and you couldn't relax. You got out your phone. It was 2 in the morning. You were getting nowhere. You decided to text Seto.
"You awake?" You sent.
It was a while before you heard your notification sound. You look at your phone again.
"No." He replied.
"You sure?" You replied.
"You're going to be the reason I need coffee." He responded.
You laughed a bit. "I can't sleep."
"I can tell." He replied.
You could almost hear it in his voice. You chuckled a bit.
"Why can't you sleep?" He asked.
"Stress." You respond.
He stopped replying after that. Maybe he didn't want to hear your worries. You set the phone down and laid in bed for a while. Then you heard a soft knock on your door. When you sat up Seto walked in with two cups.
He walked over to you and handed you a cup. You smelled it. It was an herbal tea. You took a sip; it was slightly sweet.
"What's this?" You asked.
"Chamomile and lavender. It'll help you sleep." He responded.
"Thank you." You said.
"You're welcome." He replied.
"And thank you for letting me stay here." You said.
"It's the best I could do. It's my fault your apartment got broken into." He responded looking away from you.
You could see a bit of shame in his face. "It's not your fault. It's hers. Why is she even stalking you anyways?" You asked.
"I don't want to talk about that." He responded. "At least not right now."
"Okay." You said as you took another sip from your tea.
"Drink it and get some sleep. I'll see you in the morning." He said as he got up.
You watched him leave. You finished the tea and tried to go sleep again. The tea helped a bit and you managed to drift off slowly. You would need the sleep for the busy day ahead of you.
