Is This Even Coffee?

When you woke in the morning you were a bit confused until you fully awoke and remembered what had happened the day before. You groaned to yourself in bed before getting up. You got ready as best as you could for work. That's when you heard a knock on the door.

"Come in." You yelled at the door.

Seto walked in. "You don't have to go to work today."

You were already tying the laces to your shoes when he came in.

"I can make it in though." You said.

"You have more important things to do though. Take off as much time as you need." He said.

"Thank you!" You replied.

You guess he was right. You followed Seto out of your room and to the kitchen. You both got breakfast. It was pretty quiet since he was reading the paper. You just looked through social media and such until you had finished. You followed him to his car and he drove back to your place.

Once he dropped you off he left. Guess he still had to go to work. You walked up to your apartment. The door was still locked and you unlocked it to get inside. You decided to start cleaning up. After a bit you heard a knock on the door.

You opened the door and was greeted by the land lord. You showed him the damage that was done. He took note of a few things and inspected the door as well. He told you that he could get people to come fix the door today and the walls another day.

Once he left you got back to cleaning. You got a good amount done by making piles out salvageable and unsalvageable things. There was a lot that was broken, though. Clothes that were ripped to shreds, notebooks with pages ripped out, and food thrown out of your fridge.

Once you had things sorted, you got another knock on the door. This time is was the people to fix the door. It was done relatively quickly and you wouldn't even have noticed them leaving if they didn't say bye when they finished.

You looked around a bit after taking a break from cleaning. You weren't nearly finished but You'd probably be able to finish in a day or two. You'd also need to replace a few things. Mainly your bed and sheets. You hear your phones notification go off and take a look. It's Seto.

"How's everything going?" He asked.

"Still got quite a bit to go. Is it alright for me to stay at your place for another day or so?" You asked.

"Take as long as you need." He texted back.

"How's work?" You asked.

"It's work. I need a coffee." He replies.

"I'll tell Yugi to mess up your order." You text back.

"He already has." He replies.

You laugh. Good thing Yugi is keeping that up for you.

"I'll be home soon. We will have dinner with my brother." He texts.

"Okay!" You reply.

You've only been on one date and you're already meeting the family. It's only his brother. You scavenge through the pile of clothes you made. You know there's a few things you can wear besides what you managed to find yesterday.

Once you grab all the stuff that wasn't completely damaged you packed it into your car and drove off to Seto's place. You had to buzz into the place and you told the security guard who you were and they let you in. Seto must've told them that you're staying here.

Once you park you bring the clothes you plan to wear with you. There was no one around and you made your way to the guest room. You got changed and waited for Seto to get home. It wasn't long before you heard the door downstairs open and close.

You made your way out to greet Seto only to see someone else. It was most likely Seto's brother. He was almost as tall as Seto but his hair was longer and darker. They didn't look alike at all. He was wearing a suit though, so you. Guessed they were related. That's when you noticed him waving at you.

"You must be Seto's girlfriend?" He said as he walked up the stairs towards you.

"Yeah. Are you his brother?" You asked.

"Yeah! I'm Mokuba! He responded.

You introduce yourself to him before he excused himself to go change. You went back to your room assuming it would be a bit more till Seto arrived. You spent more time on your phone before you heard a knock on your door. You told whoever it was to come in. Seto walked in, guess you didn't hear him come home.

"Hey! When'd you get back?" You asked.

"Just a while ago. Dinner will be ready in a bit." He said.

"Okay! Thank you again for letting me stay here." You mentioned.

"You're welcome." How's everything at your apartment?" He asked.

"It's going pretty smoothly. I just need to finish cleaning up and replace a few things." You replied.

"I can take the day off tomorrow and help you." He said.

"It's fine! You don't need to!" You tried to refuse.

"It's the least I can do." He insisted.

"Okay." You gave in. He probably feel like it's his fault.

"Alright. Let's head down to the dining room," He said as he started to leave.

You followed him out the door and down the stairs. He took you down the same hall that led to the kitchen. Instead of going all the way down the hall he opened a door on the right. He held it open for you as you walked in.

It was a large and long dinning room. A hardwood table at the center. The table was already set with three plates on the far end. Seto walked in after you and you followed him to your seat. He pulled out the chair for you before seating himself. A minute or so later Mokuba made an appearance.

Once everyone was seated the house staff started to serve dinner. First drinks and bread were brought out. Then the food. You didn't realize you were starving until you could smell the food from across the room. Once it was served you knew what it was, lobster bisque.

The food tasted amazing. You wondered if they ate this fancy every day. Yeah, probably. Soon you all started talking. Seto tried to introduce you to Mokuba but you told him that you had met him earlier. With that the conversations started to take off.

You learned a bit more about their lives. You learned about how they were adopted and how Seto had always looked out for Mokuba. You also learned that Mokuba worked as vp in the same company as Seto. It made sense but you never met him in the coffee shop.

Mokuba wasn't a big fan of coffee. He actually preferred the ice cream shop that was a bit of a distance away. Seto called him childish for just getting ice cream but it was done in jest.

You got to see them banter with each other. He was pretty sweet to his brother though. They clearly had a bond that you admired. It was a different side of Seto you never saw at work. You wished to see it more.

Soon everyone finished their food and staff was taking empty plates to be cleaned. Mokuba excused himself to leave saying he had quite a bit of work to do tonight. You and Seto wished him a goodnight.

Once Mokuba left Seto suggested that you both should probably head to bed since you'd have another long day ahead of you. You told Seto he didn't have to help you but he just told you that he had already given himself the day off. Oh well. Now you get to spend tomorrow with him.
