Chapter 11

Maya was getting ready to prom.
She wore a yellow dress, her hair was curly and her make up was black and gold.

She heard knocking, that's probably Shawn.

She opened the door and Shawn stood there with a flower bracelet.

"Wow" said Shawn.
Maya looked down and blushed.

"You look absolutely stunning" said Shawn.

"You think so?" Asked Maya.

Shawn took her hand, span her around and pulled her close to him.

"I know so" smiled Shawn and softly kissed Maya.

"Well I guess we're not going to get our picture" said Maya, she was little disappointed.

Everyone's parents taking their pictures before they're going to prom.
But Maya's mom was working.

"Don't worry about that" smirked Shawn.
He whistled and from the door came in his older step brother, jack.

"Who says picture and didn't get it?" Smirked jack.

They all laughed, Maya stood near Shawn, he hugged her and jack took their picture.

Then Maya and Shawn walked to jacks car and they were on their way to school.

Riley was at home ready and waiting for farkle.
She wasn't in the mood for prom.
She just wanted it to end.

Then farkle came in with a bucket full of roses.

"It's for you" smiled farkle.
He was excited to go to prom especially with Riley.

"Thank you" Riley faked smile.
She gave the roses to her mom and went with farkle to to her dads car.

Maya and Shawn came to school, they waited for Riley and farkle.
When Riley and farkle came, they hugged and walked to the gym.

"Riley and I are going to the bathroom, we'll be back later" said Maya to Shawn.

Shawn nodded and walked with farkle to catch a place to sit.

Maya took Riley's hand and pulled her to the bathroom.

"Riley please stop" said Maya seriously.

"Stop with what?" Asked Riley.

"With those faces. I can see farkle feels uncomfortable." Said Maya.

"I'm trying. I-it just to hard" tears came to her eyes.

"Why nobody wanted to come with me to that prom?" Riley started to cry little.

Maya hugged Riley tightly.
Then she cleaned her eyes from tears.

"Am I that bad or ugly or fat?" Cried Riley.

"Riley, you're not ugly or fat. You are special. I know that this whole school is jealous at me that i have the best friend in this world. And someone actually wants to come with you to that prom" said Maya.

Riley smiled and raised her eyebrow.

"Farkle" smiled Maya.

Riley smiled and said "fine, thank you Maya. You always know what to say" smiled Riley.

She hugged Maya and they went together to the gym.

They came just in time for the slow dance.

Shawn took Maya's hand and pulled her closer to him. Maya hugged Shawn and they both danced.

Farkle came closer to Riley.
"Wanna dance?" Asked farkle, "j-jut as friends" added farkle.

Riley smiled at him, she took his hand and kissed his chick.

"Thank you for coming with me to here" smiled Riley and they both danced.

The night was magical.
Riley realized that friends are the most important thing in the world.
She always thought of farkle as her friend.
But while dancing with him, she realized how sweet he is.
How kind he is.
And when he talked to other girl, she felt jealousy.
