It had been 9 months since that day and today was Haseena's delivery. Everyone was driving to the hospital to drop Anuseena.

Karishma side hugged Haseena and rested her head on her shoulder. Haseena put her arm around Karishma and smiled.

HM(smling): Kya hua...

KS(sarcastically): Aasman phat Gaya

HM: Kabhi toh serious hojao meri maa 😒

KS: Han toh aap bhi serious hojaye.... Kaisa savaal karri hai aap. Hum apni bhabhi ko gale bhi nhi laga skte

HM: Arre baccha aisa nhi hai...aajao yha

KS: Hamara chotu aajayega phir ap usi ko baccha kahegi na hum toh bade hojayenge phir :(

HM: Nhi....hamare parivaar me chahe jitne bhi bache ho hamara pehla bacha tum hi ho...thike?

Karishma gave a victorious smile.

AK: Mami ye cheating hai! Kal aapne kaha tha ki mai aapki pehli bachi hu

KS: Ae chup! Tumhari mami ne pehle humko promise diya (childishly)

AK: Nhi pehle mujhe diya!

HM: Arre kaha phas Gaye hum 😩

Everyone chuckled.

They reached the hospital and went inside. Anuseena went in the ward while everyone else waited in the visitor area right across the hall.

10 hours had passed since Haseena had gone into labour, but there was still no news of the baby. All they could hear was Haseena's cries and Anubhav's words as he tried to calm her down.

Anubhav cupped her face and murmured words of assurance to keep her strong. It was hard on him seeing his wife in pain but he knew she wouldn't back off. He fought back tears and let the doctors do their job.

Back outside, the assistants rushed in and out, but none could give them any useful information. Pushpaji and Ammi closed their eyes in prayer hoping for the best. Rakhi had taken Akshara back home to keep her distracted. Vyom was sitting next to Pushpaji looking grim.

But Karishma could not sit still. She paced around the room with her hand on her forehead. She had given birth herself and she knew it was tough but it didn't take this long and she was getting worried. Just then, a nurse stepped out and walked unsteadily towards her. Before the nurse could reach her, she ran over and demanded news about Haseena.

N(slowly): Haseena ji ki halat boht kharab hai isliye hum sirf bache ya maa ko bacha sakte hai. Faisla aapka hai.

Karishma felt as her voice was stuck in her throat. She couldn't believe the situation had come down to this and it was impossible for her to choose. Tears welled up in her eyes as the thought what could happen. The entire family and even Haseena herself was waiting for the child from 9 months. She definetly wanted to see her niece/nephew but she wouldn't be able to live without Haseena.

With great difficulty she replied to the nurse: Bhabhi....aap hamari bhabhi ko bacha lijiye hume aur kuch nhi chaiye. Hume apni bhabhi sahi salamat hamare saamne chaiye jitna jaldi hosake! Samajh gayi?

N: J-ji madam

The nurse went back inside to inform the doctor about her desicion. Another
excruciatingly long hour crawled by but there was no news of the child. Every time she heard Haseena scream, she felt like a thousand bullets were shot at her. She had promised Haseena never to cause her any pain and here she was feeling completely helpless at her bhabhi's condition.

At last they heard the cry of a child. Pushpaji and Ammi opened their eyes from praying. Karishma looked up with a streak of hope. A nurse rushed out of the room with a smile on her face.
