They leaned in to listen, clueless of what would happen, but Haseena read her facial expressions. They were neither of jealousy, jokes, or fear...it was something different....something SERIOUS.

KS: Toh pehle yeh bataiye ki aap dono hai kon?

VS: Huhh yeh kaisa sawaal hai hum Eng. Vyom Singh aur yeh DSP Anubhav Singh

KS(irritated): Bhabhi singhade hai kitchen mein?

HM: Ummm....shayad?

KS: Toh laake khilaiye inko, ek number ke topa insaan hai yeh! Ek toh pura baat khatam nahi karne dete aur beechme aise topa jaise javaab dete hai!

VS: Sorry na, bolo aage

KS: Haan toh hum keh rahe the ki.....Aap donoAnu bhaiya aapki shaadi ke 6 saal hogaye aur aap abhi tak bhabhi ko samajh nahi paaye? Jab unki itni kharab haalat ho gayi thi tab aapko pata bhi nahi tha kya karna chahiye? Haan theek hai, aap doctor nahi hai lekin itna sa general knowledge sabke paas hota hai ki davai khilani chahiye ya thoda pamper karna chahiye. Par aapko woh bhi nahi sujha? Vaise toh love marriage hua hai aapka, aur aapke pyaar ka gawah yeh pura parivaar hai, par aapko itna bhi pata nahi chala ki aapki patni takleef mein hai aur unki takleef door karne ke liye aapko kuch karna chahiye! Ama aapko nahi pata thha toh kameskam humko phone karte hum aapka madad karte. Par toh wahan khade khade jashn mana rahe thhe ki bhabhi pregnant hai. Aise nibhate hai aap apna pati dharm? Aise khayal rakhte hai aap apni patni ka?

Haseena tried to stop Karishma and tell her it was okay and she didn't mind. But Karishma didn't stop. She was mad and she had to vent her anger out. Anubhav tried to say something, but she just kept going.

KS: Aur Patidev aap. Hum toh college se saath hai, kitne saal ho gaye hume mile aur aap bhi jaan nahi paaye kaa hua hai bhabhi ko? Itne saalon ki shaadi ke baad nmumkin hai ki aapne hamare aisa haalat kabhi nahi dekha. Dekha hi hoga! Aur yaad nahi aaya toh koi baat nahi, aap humko phone kar sakte the na? Amma ko phone kar sakte the aap, doctor ko phone kar sakte the aap. Par aap bhi Anu bhaiya ke saath jashn manane mein vyast the. Aise mein jitna dosh Anu bhaiya ka hai utna aapka bhi hai. Hume toh yakeen nahi hota aap dono aisi giri hui harkat kar sakte hai! Aap dono bhai, bete, baap, sab bohot acche hai magar pati boht bure hai aur yeh hum saabit kar sakte hai!

Anubhav and Vyom were deeply hurt by her words, and their facial expression reflected it. Haseena saw this and tried her best to apologize from Karishma's behalf but neither of them seemed to care. The damage had already been done. One by one, Vyom and Anubhav got up, looking lost in their thoughts, and slowly made their way back to their rooms. Haseena tried to stop them, but they didn't bother to listen. She sat back down with a disappointing sigh and looked at Karishma.

HM: Kya kiya tumne?

KS: Kaa kiya humne? Wahi kiya jo sahi thha, inn dono ne galti kiya hai toh unko daanta bass. Unhone galti kiya hai toh unko apni galti ka ehsaas karwa rahe thhe hum isme kaa galat kardiye?

HM: Galti ka ehsaas karana buri baat nahi hai, galti ka ehsaas kis tareeke se kiya tumne woh galat hai. Pyaar se bhi cheezein samjhayi jaa sakti hai, aur yeh unki pehli galti thi toh itni beyadbi theek nahi hai.

KS: Nahi aap toh rehne hi dijiye, thane mein kam jajbaat ka gyaan deti hai jo ghar pe bhi dene lagi? Aapko kitni baar bole hai hum yeh pyaar aur jajbaat ka bhasha humko naa samajh aata hai aur naa kabhi aayega, isliye aisa ummeed toh humse bilkul mat rakhiye.

HM: Jazbaat tumhe abhi bhale na samajh aaye, kisi din samajhna toh padega. Apne liye nahi toh apne parivaar ke liye. Hum jaante hai tumne hamari bhalai ke liye hi daanta hai unhe, par jab hume hi unke kiye se koi aitraaz nahi toh aapko itna gussa karne ki kya zarurat thi?

KS: Aapko aitraaz nahi hai lekin humko hai. Yeh toh bhagwan ka shukr hai ki aapko koi jaanleva rog nahi hua par agar hota toh Patidev aur bhaiya aapko sambhaal nahi paate aur aapko kuch ho jaata toh? Hamara jaan toh nikal hi jaayega saathme woh bhi jindagi bhar isi guilt mein rahenge ki woh aapka jaan nahi bacha paaye.

HM: Karishma hum tumhari pareshani acche se samajh rahe hai lekin tumhe itni fikr karne ki zarurat nahi hai. Shayad tension ke maare unke dimaag se nikal gaya hoga ki woh kisi ko phone kare....aisa hota hai kahin baar. Aur itni choti si galti ke liye itna daatna kisi bhi angle se sahi nahi hai!

KS: Kahe? Kahe sahi nahi hai? Galti karne pe daatna galat hai?

HM: Tumhe pata bhi hai unko daantne ke chakkar mein kya kya bola hai tumne? Kitna bura laga hai dono ko tumhari baaton se woh pata hai tumhe? Unke chehre pe saaf saaf dikh raha tha ki unhe tumhari baatein dil pe leli hai aur iske aadhar pe agar koi bhi galat vichaar aaya unke dimaag mein toh kuch bhi ho sakta hai, yeh socha hai tumne?

A sense of realization washed over Karishma. She realized she said a lot more than she ever would, and most probably hurt their self-respect as well. She mentally slapped herself for being so hyper. Did she really do all this just because she was worried for Haseena? Of course she cared about Haseena, and it was natural for her to be worried, but it was nowhere near right to insult her brother and husband for that reason. She hid her face in her palm sighing in disappointment for herself.

HM(softly): Ab samajh aaya hum kya kehna chah rahe the?

KS: Samajh toh aa gaya par hamesha ki tarah der ho gayi. Ab pata nahi humko maaf karenge bhi ya nahi...

HM(placing her palm on KS's cheek): Zaroor maaf karenge...aur naaraz bhi hue toh kab tak naaraz reh paayenge? Tumhare bina toh na Anubhav reh sakte hai na jiju. Bas dil se maafi maango sab theek hoga.

Karishma passed her a grateful smile while Haseena went to check on the kids."Thodi der yahan baithe the hum sab utne mein pura ghar sar pe utha liya hoga unn teeno ne" Haseena muttered under her breath. Meanwhile, Karishma slowly turned the handle of the door to her room and stepped inside. She saw Vyom sitting on the bed with a blank expression, and walked upto him with a guilt-filled heart.

KS: Patidev?

VS: Patidev kyun bol rahi ho? Hum toh pati kehlane laayak hi nahi hai....

KS: Nahi aisa baat nahi hai. Aap bilkul pati kehlane laayak hai, aap toh duniya ke sabse acche pati hai.

VS: Nahi hai hum acche pati (his eyes filled with tears) Nahi hai hum acche bhai, acche bete, acche baap...kuch nahi hai hum. Bohot bure insaan hai hum!

Karishma sat beside him and cupped his face while shaking her head in negative.

KS: Aap- Aap aisa mat boliye please...hum bahar aapko jo kuch bhi bole the sab bas nikal gaya muh se, hum jaanbujhkar nahi bole the. Aapko dard dene ka koi iraada nahi tha hamara...bas aapko apni galti ka ehsaas karana chahte the. Par bahot bada glati ho gaya humne...itna kuch boldiye hum aapko

VS: Tumne koi bhi kaaran se bola ho, sach hi bola hai. Tumhare muh se nikla har shabd sach nahi toh aur kya tha. Hamari behen samaan bhabhi ki aisi haalat ho gayi thi aur hum madad tak nahi kar paaye? Hum itna soch bhi nahi paaye ki khud nahi pata toh kisi aur ko puch sakte the hum, unki madad kar sakte the hum?

KS: Galti sabse hota hai, Patidev. Dekhiye na hum hi kitna bada galti kar baithe...aapko aur Anu bhaiya ko itna kuch bura bhala bol diya. Aap yakeen maaniye hamara, aap boht acche pati hai. Har haal mein hamara saath diya aapne, humko hamesha apni marzi se jeene diya, hum bimaar hote the tab hamara khayal rakha, aur hamari duty ki wajah se Akshu jyada time nahi de paate toh aapne usse maa-baap dono ke barabar ka pyaar diya. Aapse accha pati iss duniya mein ho hi nahi sakta!

VS: T-Tum sach keh rahi ho?

KS: Karishma Singh kabhi jhoot bolti hai?

Vyom shook his head and smiled at her through his wet eyes. Karishma held her ears as a sign of apology and he forgave her as well. She wiped his tears and he pulled her into a big hug. The couple stayed in each others arms for a while before finally parting away.

Vyoshma got down from the bed and came out of their room. Karishma knocked on the door of Anuseena's room which Haseena opened. She saw Anubhav sitting on the bed with a frown. She sat beside him and put her hand on his.

KS: Anu bhaiya humko maaf kardijiye...hume gusse mein aapko itna bura bhala bol diye aur samajh hi nahi paaye-

AS(interrupting): Hume gyaat hai aapne jo kiya jaanbujhkar nahi kiya aur hume bura bhi nahi laga. Kintu abhi hum aapse rusht hai aur aapko shama nahi kar sakte.

KS: Kahe rusht hai aap humse?

AS: Woh hum aapko batana avashyak nahi samajhte. Hum aapke bhai hai isliye hume poora adhikaar hai aapse rusht hone ka.

KS: Ama aap kaaran nahi batayenge toh humko pata kaise chalega aapko kaise manana hai?

AS: Aap apne masthisht pe zor daaliye, hum kuch nahi bolenge

KS: Gajab insaan hai 😤 Acha suniye...hamare pyaare, masoom, bhole, handsome bhaiya....apni behna ko maaf kar dijiye

AS: Zyada makhan mat lagaiye itni aasani se nahi maanenge hum

KS: Huhh (Mira style)

Karishma tried various ways to 'manaying' Anubhav but nothing seemed to work. Meanwhile, Anubhav was having a great time seeing his sister fuss over him again. Vyom and Haseena, along with Akshara, Ishita, and Aditya were watching their new source of entertainement, giggling occasionally. Pushpaji came home and joined them too. At one point, Karishma glared at them and they all fell silent. She racked her brains to think of something and finally got and idea.

She sat in front of Anubhav with the most innocent face she could muster. Anubhav melted slightly and looked at her with admiration. Karishma held his hand and closed her eyes. She was never much of a singer, but the words just somehow came to her and she found the perfect tune.

At last she opened her eyes slowly to see Anubhav sitting in the same position with tears of joy glimmering in his eyes. Karishma looked at him in anticipation, waiting to see if he'd forgiven her. Instead, Anubhav just kissed her forehead then stood up and engulfed her in a big bear hug. She sighed in relief and reciprocated the hug. The others adored Anushma then joined them for a big group hug.

KS: Ama hatiye humko saans nahi aa raha, thodi der aur aise rahe toh aise khade khade hi marr jayenge hum

Everyone frowned at her and Vyom muttered "so unaffectionate" under his breath which didn't go unnoticed by Karishma.

AS: Bachpan mein toh tum kehti thi hamari bahon mein hi antim saans lena hai ab kya samasya hai

KS: Nahi woh iccha toh abhi bhi hai par itni jaldi nahi marna na humko, abhi toh sabka bheja khana baaki hai.

HM: Haan aur koi kaam kahan hai tumhe

Haseena earned a glare from Karishma and the four of them (Anuseena & Vyoshma) started their argument back and forth once again. Pushpaji adored her children.

PS(smiling): Chalo ant bhala toh sab bhala
