The next day, I woke up and saw Jaxon gone.
I got up and changed into a pair of black jeans and an oversized yellow shirt. Walking into the kitchen and saw a note that said: 'I went to the pack territory. Come find me there. I love you :)'
I smiled at his sweet little note and decided to go to him instead of having breakfast.

I walked from the cabin to the pack and saw everyone was busy. Running around with tables and chairs. A couple of men hanging a banner that read 'Happy Mating Season. In bold blue. The females putting snacks on a long table that was covered in blue silk. Looking the other way, I saw two men holding a beer keg each and connecting it with the keg tap. And looking past them, I saw a truck a little far that had five more kegs and then saw my wolf holding the two kegs, each hand, walking like they don't weigh anything at all.
I walked to him and a big smile appeared on his face. He stretched out and pecked my lips, smiling at me, and said"Morning." I asked looking around"What's going on?" He replied, "It's mating season." I looked at him all dumb but he still explained "Mating season is when wolves from other packs come here to find their mate once a year."
"You mean like all 17 packs will be here tonight?"
"Every single one."
We walked side by side and I asked with a little jealousy in me" So how many have you attended?" He kept the kegs down near the snacks table" two of them." I smiled"No mate?" He pecked my lips and replied, "You weren't invited then." He put his hands on my waist and said with a sigh of relief "Right now, I thank the goddess that you're not a wolf." I wrap my arms around his neck "Why?"
"Because the only thing you'd be smelling tonight is beers and hormones. And a lot of random people doing things that should be done with mates."
My cheeks turned red as he said that making him laugh at me. He pulled me closer, hugging me as I buried my face in his neck, trying to hide my red cheeks. I heard a familiar voice calling my name "Caroline!" Jaxon sighed in my ear"Why can't everyone leave us alone?" I smiled and pulled away from his embrace. She ran to us and kneeled, bowing her head to Jaxon and said"Alpha Prince." I looked at him as he rolled his eyes and said"Patty, you don't have to do that." She got up on her feet with a huge smile and Jaxon said"I'm gonna go and help with the kegs." He kissed my cheek and left. Patty linked her arm in mine, pulling me to her side, and said jumping up and down"I was looking all over for you" I raised a brow "Why?"
"It's the mating season! I want a new dress. And I want you to help me."
"Patty, I'm not in the mood for shopping."
"Oh, come on! I need a dress and I'm sure you need one too for today." She nudged her head in his direction "Don't you wanna look all sexy for him?" I chuckled "He still thinks I look sexy in gym shorts" but she had a way with words "Yeah, but today all 17 packs will be there. Lots of women... ya know." I looked in his direction as he helped with the beer kegs and helped a lady with the table, smiling.
