Why do I need a family?

Doctor Philza pt.2

Phil carefully examined the line in the middle of Ranboo's body. Phil was pretty positive he knew what was going on with Ranboo, when you look at it and think about it it's pretty obvious actually.

"Well I think we have an answer on what happened to Ranboo." Phil stated calmly

Techno quickly perked his head up to look at his father, "really? What is it?"

"Well Ranboo has no human in him." Techno stared at Phil blankly.

"I'm aware of that but what does that have to do with anything?" Techno questioned

"He's also part enderman and I'm afraid enderman genetics do not work well other species genetics, unless that other half is human; it's hard to explain but to put it simply human genes are similar enough to enderman genes to have a functional hybrid that either acts more like a human or more like an enderman." Phil tried his best to explain this (much like your dear author)

"Well what about for other mobs?" Techno felt overwhelmed and looking over at the stressed out Ranboo didn't help much.

"For other mobs it's like the enderman genes try to fight with the other half's genes and while Ranboonis lucky enough to get genes the ender ones can't hurt it does make him more enderman then anything else," Phil stopped for a moment, "but that also means as he gets older he'll blackout more and possibly even act more like an enderman."

Techno stopped; he was very aware on what Phil's sentence meant but he could never go into it, he probably would get to upset if he truly thought about what Ranboo being more and more like an enderman meant.

"So, is there a way to prevent that?" Techno said very quietly.

"Well we need to find out what Ranboo's other side is to determine that." Ranboo stopped listening after this he honestly didn't want to hear what they had to say he could just try to guess the rest later.

However the feeling of Phil grabbing his arm and sticking a needle in it forced his attention back to the real world.

"Don't worry bud we just wanna see what other mob you are." Phil smiled kindly at Ranboo calming the boy down.

When the blood was taken Techno picked up Ranboo, "now bud you've had a very busy day so let's go ahead and get you to bed."

Ranboo nodded at Techno before turning to Phil to say bye.

Techno looked at Ranboo, the boy had fallen asleep almost the second Techno tucked him in and put Carrots in his bed. Typically Techno wouldn't allow Carrots to sleep on Ranboo's bed however he felt today could be an exception.

Ranboo looked so peaceful to Techno and so harmless too it was hard to believe just a few hours ago Ranboo almost beat his best friend to death.

Techno decided not to think about the gory details though and just finish talking to Phil so he could just go to sleep.

"You know we probably won't be able to stop Ranboo's enderman instincts from fully taking over right?" Techno quickly turned to Phil surprised by the man being there.

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you but I kinda just wanted to get that info out of the way." Phil mentioned refusing to look Techno in the eye.

"I won't believe that, there's no way there isn't a way to stop it." Techno said whispering, " I mean we stopped my instincts from fully taking over when I was a kid."

Phil sighed, "Techno, enderman and piglin DNA are different and you know that."

"So? Piglin instincts are almost just as strong as endermans so there has to be a way." Techno didn't really know if this would be true or not, honestly the fact he didn't fully succumb to his instincts all those years ago was a miracle in itself and one he didn't know if it could be repeated.

"Techno when I figured out how to help you that was probably my greatest and most challenging invention I've ever done," Phil stopped for a moment, "I don't know if I can do that again, it was hard enough the first time."

Techno tried to protest, "yeah but-"

"Techno no," Phil interrupted, "I was barley strong enough to get the ingredients back then and I was in my 20s, there's no way I can do that now."

"Phil I can't lose him..." for once in the pigs life he truly looked sad for someone that wasn't himself, "he's my son, come on you should know how I feel more then anyone else."

Phil went silent for a few minutes, "listen mate I don't know what Ranboo is gonna need to stop the instincts and I might need a few weeks before I can get that info together but when I have it you're going to get it."

Techno's face lit up with utter happiness, "Thank you so much Phil."

"Eh it's whatever mate you are my boy after all." Phil said looking away.

Techno was fully prepared to get these items for Ranboo and he didn't care if he died trying to do it, in this moment all he cared about was making sure his son could live like a human.

Wow what a shocker I'm not dead! Honestly I found out the coolest thing guys when you say frick you to friends that are mean to you and get them out of you life you'll feel a lot better and suddenly motivation to do things comes back. Well anyways though I'm glad to be back and I hope you guys are happy about it too and I hope your excited for what else this story has to offer.
