Original Royalty

The youngest Mikaelson children arrived back at the Oslo palace at 6pm local time. Their parents had already been briefed on what had happened for legal reasons and were waiting in the hallway for them coming in from the garage:

"Anything to say for yourselves?" Mikael asked.
"I'm going to bed." Rebekah stated ignoring them.
"No." Kol grumbled following her upstairs to their conjoined suites.
"We haven't seen you since Christmas and you're not even going to say hello?" Esther questioned to their retreating backs.

"Niklaus. With us, now." Mikael ordered.
"Joshua, we will speak to you shortly." Esther added.
"Yes ma'am. I'll just go get reacquainted with my team and begin any necessary damage control." He replied before heading down a different corridor.

"You were supposed to be looking after them so this kind of thing didn't happen." Mikael scolded, as he led his middle child and wife into his study.

Elijah came home at 8 o'clock from a diplomatic dinner and headed straight for Rebekah's room to check on her. He opened the door to see her fast asleep in her queen sized bed. Seeing the French doors between her and Kol's room open and a small light shining through he silently snuck through Rebekah's room into Kol's.

"Kol?" Elijah found him staring blankly at Rebekah's unconscious body
"Lijah, you're here." Kol noted as he came out of his own little world.
"Yes I'm afraid I've been stuck here with mother and father for a while my own."
"Where's Freya?" Kol asked knowing Finn was on deployment in the navy
"Father has her on some trip to meet potential suitors."

"What happened in Virginia?" Elijah asked after a moment of silence.
"Tyler started it." Kol stated.
"Ah, the Lockwood boy, Niklaus has told me about him, nothing good. Why does it bother you?" Elijah tried asking a different question to get Kol to answer in the way he wanted
"Did she get hurt because of me?" Kol answered with his own question.
"No, Nei, no." Elijah reassured his baby brother in both English and Norwegian.
"She was trying to calm me down - Tyler shoved her out the way."
"Kol, you're jet lagged and tired. Go to sleep." Elijah said pushing him back towards the king size bed.

As Kol got settled in bed, Elijah switched off the small lamp saying "Jeg savnet deg, lillebror."
Elijah was going to exit through Kol's room but then realised he never got to greet Rebekah so went back and placed a kiss on her forehead and exited the way he came in.

Jeg savnet deg, lillebror. = I missed you, baby brother.
