Lennon opened the front door and walked inside the house. She walked upstairs to her bedroom and looked at the white roses on her bed. Smiling thoughtfully, she slid a pair of shorts on and pulled her hair into a bun. She walked to the living room and saw Michael asleep on the couch, a small kitten beside him. She picked up the kitten, waking Michael.
He smiled at her, stroking the kitten's head. "Do you want to keep her? I found her at the grocery store."
Lennon nodded, giving her approval. "Of course."
He smiled. "So, how was school?"
She shrugged. "Not horrible."
He smiled, standing up to give her a hug.
She sighed into the hug. "I love you Mike."
He smiled into her hair. "I love you."

Lennon pulled the fried chicken she had made out of the stove. She placed 4 pieces on a plate for Michael and 2 pieces for herself. After she added some mashed potatoes she called Michael for dinner. He entered the kitchen smiling.
He gave Lennon a kiss on the forehead.
"It looks and smells delicious Len."
She smiled, placing the plates on the table.
They ate and made small talk about school, the move, and the new kitten.

Later that night, Lennon lay in bed re-reading her favorite book, The Great Gatsby. She had her mind enveloped in being at one of Gatsby's wild New York parties when her phone buzzed. She picked the phone up off of her beside table and unlocked it.     Sam: Hey, I've missed you.

Lennon: How many times do I have to tell you to leave me alone?

Sam: You can try as hard as you can, I'm never going away.

Lennon turned her phone off, throwing it on the floor. Tears began to stream down her face.
