"So did you finish your trigonometry assignments?"
Felix the obnoxious, overweight tutor asked.
"Lennon?"
Lennon shook her head. "Sorry Felix, I was zoned out. What did you say?"
Felix sighed impatiently tapping his pen. "The trigonometry assignments Lennon, did you do them?"
Lennon looked at her feet. "No Felix, I'm sorry."
He let out a loud breath of hot air. "Why didn't you do them Lennon?"
Lennon shrugged. "I don't know I don't really understand them."
Felix rolled his eyes, gathering his things into his briefcase. "That's it! I'm sorry Lennon, you are incompetent, and unteachable!"
He stormed out of the room, through the den, past a surprised Michael, and out the door.
Lennon burst into tears, covering her face with her hands. Michael walked into the room. "What was all that about?"
Lennon kept crying, so Michael scooped her into his arms and carried her onto the couch. He placed her on his lap.
"C'mon princess, what happened?"
He gently nudged her, moving her hands away.
"He said I was stupid and unteachable because I didn't know how to do trig, and then he quit."
Michael caressed her face, trying to wipe away the falling tears.
"I'm so stupid Mike."
She buried her face into his shoulder and cried harder. He pulled her off of him and wiped her tears.
"You're not stupid baby."
She shook her head, disagreeing with him.
"He was a douche anyway."
He tickled her, and she responded with a small smile.
She sighed. "Now we have to find a new tutor."
Michael gave her a mischevious smile. "You know Lennon, I don't think this tutor thing is working out.
Lennon gasped. "Mike please don't send me back to school. Please. I can't go back there."
He rubbed her back slowly.
"I'm not sending you back to school Len. That is... School here."
She gave him a confused look. "What are you saying?"
He grabbed her hand and stood up. "Here, follow me."
He led her into the library where a big map of the U.S. was set up.
"Michael what is this?"
A small smile crossed her face. He smiled happily at her and handed her a dart. "Michael?"
He tied a red bandana over her eyes.
He whispered in her ear. "Now throw it."
A smile appeared on her face as she threw the dart at the map.
Michael gasped and then laughed a little. "Talk about picking a total opposite place."
He took the bandana off and showed her where the dart landed.
"Seattle, Washington." She whispered softly.
He smiled at her and picked her up. "Seattle it is!"
Her smile faded. "What do you mean Seattle it is?"
"When you threw the dart, I thought you knew... I meant where it landed we would move to. You know? To get a fresh start?"
She looked at him smiling. "You're serious?"
He grinned "As a heart attack."
She hugged him tightly. "I love you so much Mike!"
He smiled into her hair. "I love you to Lenny."
Lennon stepped out of the shower. Michael had left her a note that morning saying he would be out most of the day, looking for a real estate agent.
She towel dried her long hair, then grabbed her toothbrush.
After she was done she put on a pair of shorts and Michael's green day shirt. She smiled at the way it fit on her, then walked into the kitchen. She spread nutella on a slice of toast when she heard the front door open. She raced to the door thinking it was Michael, then sighed when she realized it was Jane.
Jane looked at her with utter disgust. "Where's Michael?"
Lennon shrugged. "At the real estate office?"
Jane knit her brows together. "Real estate office?"
Lennon rolled her eyes. "Yeah, we're moving. To Seattle."
Jane's eyes widened. "Seattle?"
Lennon gave a little smile. "Seattle."
Jane's face darkened. "I bet you convinced him to do this didn't you? We would be just fine if you weren't around. We could build a perfect life here in Malibu. Wait a second.. You have feelings for him don't you?"
Lennon gasped. "I do not."
Jane smirked, backing her up against the wall. "It really must suck seeing us together, watching us kiss. Hell, we do it all the time."
Lennon rolled her eyes. "Shut up Jane."
Jane burst out laughing, moving even closer. "Oh yeah and one more thing Len? He's great."
Lennon couldn't take it anymore. Fed up with Jane, She did the only thing she could do. Spit in her face. Jane gasped. "You little skank!" She slapped Lennon in the face, just as Michael walked in.
"Jane what the hell?" Michael shouted.
"She spit on me!" Jane retorted.
"Well you don't slap her!"
"Michael."
He rolled his eyes. "No Jane. This time was too far. I'm done. Get out, and never come back."
"Michael please."
"You slap Lennon and then expect me to want you? And to think I was going to move you to Seattle with us."
Jane's brown eyes filled with tears. "Michael."
"Goodbye Jane."
She walked out the door.
Michael raced over to Lennon.
"Are you okay Lenny?"
She nodded. "Mike, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to break you guys up."
He shrugged. "It was going to happen soon anyway. I couldn't be with someone who didn't like you."
Lennon blushed. Michael gave her a small kiss on the cheek.
"So guess what Len?"
