'Even miracles take a little time' - Fairy Godmother, Cinderella.
As the starry night of a Sunday night fell upon them, Sungho was also slowly falling asleep in the bath tub.
"I see that all that playing made my little lion become a sleepy koala since he's literally falling asleep while taking a bath" Yeosang entered the bathroom with a towel and fresh clothes for the kid that he was babysitting.
"No I'm-" Sungho let's out a cute yawn. "-Not" The six-year-old kid shakes his head to stall his sleepiness from taking over him. The babysitter placed the towel and clothes on the closed toilet lid, and went over the kid.
"Well either way, you've been in that bath for some time now, time for a good rinse"
Yeosang grabs the handheld shower head and turns it on, making sure the temperature was right. The babysitter get rids of the remaining suds on the boy's body before turning the water back off. Yeosang makes Sungho get out of the tub and stand on a mat while the older gets the polar bear towel he brought in, he wipes the remaining water off of the kid's body while letting the child wear the hood part of the towel. Once done, he grabs the raccoon onesie and helps the kid wear it.
Fastening the last button on the pajama, Yeosang picks Sungho up and sets him on the counter top. He hands the younger his panda toothbrush with the toothpaste on it to let him brush his teeth while the older blow dries his hair. As Yeosang dries the kid's hair, he notices the boy nodding off to sleep with the toothbrush in his mouth.
"Don't fall asleep on me now, you still have toothpaste in your mouth, at least spit it out" The babysitter smiles at the kid in front of him. Sungho listens to his hyung and finishes with brushing his teeth while the older finishes drying his hair too.
Yeosang carries the child out of the bathroom and into the child's bedroom. Since Sungho's head was already laying on his shoulder, Yeosang just carries the kid like that until he falls asleep.
It hasn't been long since Yeosang started this babysitting gig of his, he started last year during his summer break before he became a senior in high school. He just thought that if he ever needed the extra cash then babysitting was the way to go for him.
So since last year he babysat a lot of kids already, but his number one client would be the Choi kids. The parents of these two kids were busy with their work and had to travel because it was a part of their job. They had already hired other babysitters before Yeosang, but those didn't last long because of their youngest son, Sungho.
He wasn't that of a horrible kid, it was just he throws tantrums and has a shy personality. So when they had Yeosang babysit him, they were surprised with how he handle the child well. He was able to calm Sungho down from his tantrums, he was able to make him behave, he was even able to make him go to sleep on time.
And so, the Choi couple left their children in Yeosang's care. He even has a guest room in their home if ever he needed to stay the night, and he also get bonuses from time to time.
Hearing the soft snores and ticklish breath on his neck, Yeosang gently lays the kid down on his bed and covers him with the blanket, also remembering to place the dolphin plushy next to the boy.
The babysitter turns on the owl nightlight on the bedside table, and goes back to the bathroom to clean it up a bit. After that the male quietly leaves the boy's bedroom and heads back out to the living room to do some leftover school work. Besides being a babysitter, Yeosang is also part of the school newspaper. His job is being one out of the three photographers, which means he carries his camera around school everywhere.
He thinks that the position was perfect for him, he knows how to use a camera almost professionally, he knows how to hide and be quiet, and he knows how to take a good picture.
"I thought you were in your room?" On the couch there sat Jongho, the other Choi kid. He was only a year younger than Yeosang, so the two didn't feel as uncomfortable as they thought they would, they even went to the same school together.
Jongho looks away from the tv to look at the babysitter."It's still a little early, hyung. I'll finish this episode and then I promise to go straight to bed" The younger made some space for his hyung to sit next to him, even though the couch was big enough for about 7 people.
The Choi couple own a business which is where Yeosang mostly gets his babysitting money from, but the older never really knew what the business was. Still, the business must be a good one seing as how the Choi family live in a wonderful house, and how Yeosang is able to get paid a lot despite him refusing those bonuses sometimes.
"Well since you did do the dishes, then I guess you can keep me company while I do some stuff" The babysitter placed his laptop on his lap and opened it, the light from the device hit his face as he waited for it to start.
"So what pictures did you take this week?" Jongho leaned in to have a better look at the laptop's screen, forgetting his tv show.
Every time Yeosang would come over to babysit, he and Jongho would take a look at some of the photos that the photographer took during the week. The two would share their opinions about the photos or about the latest news that would happen at their school.
"Hmm, nothing much happened this week. I took pictures about the fight that broke out between the two lunch ladies, and the new renovation of the school garden by the gardening club" The older clicked a folder that contained the different pictures that he took. He actually asked the Chief Photographer to take the less important news because he was busy with other homework that he needed to do, and be a babysitter.
"Well maybe something will happen tomorrow or during the week" Jongho shrugged as he went back to watching his show.
Yeosang takes a quick glance at the younger before looking back to his laptop. One thing that he dreads when he comes to the Choi residence was because of Jongho, it wasn't because he hated him it's actually the opposite.
He likes him.
