The warm summer air clouds my room. School. It's a taster day, London University. It had always been my dream, to be a forensic anthropologist (bones). I got accepted last autumn, i was jumping around my room, screaming.
I leap out of bed and choose my outfit, I want it to be casual but formal. I grabbed a blouse and jeans.
"Er, I guess this is ok" I mumble to myself.
I've lived on my own for nearly a year now, my parents lent me the money in college to pay for the upfront cost, I take part in a part time job at X-Cafe. It's a modern cafe, where teenagers come after to school to get there usual: sweet vanilla latte, soy milk, no caffeine, extra cream, extra vanilla and extra froth. Extra? I know.
I sprint downstairs, boil the kettle and make myself a tea. I grab a bowl and pour some cereal. I force myself to eat it.
I ran upstairs and brush my teeth, and straighten my hair.
"MADDY HURRY WE WILL BE LATE."
That's Lex, shes here finally.
I grab my bag and close the door, the smell of petrol wafts up my nose. I open the car door and step in.
"Good morning to you to."
"ehhh, sour?"
I reach for the dashboard and play sour.
"You excited for the English and Medicine?" I inquired.
"uh maybe, I'm just a bit scared. Everyone's so... smart"
She lets out a giggle and I do the same. The sign reads: LONDON UNIVERSITY IN 200 YARDS.
"we are hereeee maddsssss finally" Lex screeches
We step out and say our goodbyes.
I grab the map and find my way to my form in the "Forensic" block.
Wow. My mouth gasps open, it's incredible. Famous Scientists crowd the walls, and bones lay in a dotted position.
Someone or something knocks my shoulder, forcing my bag to dramatically plunge to my side.
"Hey? Sorry about that."
It was him, I could tell from his voice.
Leo.
"No it's okay."
A hand tugs my bag up.
"Thank you... Leo?"
Confusion muffles his voice.
"How do you know my name"
A smirk devours his face, he walks away.
He slipped his number in my pocket. MY POCKET.
Form was starting.
