Chapter 3:

503 4 1

It was induction day. My first day before i started, it was still the middle of summer so it was fairly empty, only first years here. Form: where do I start. I sat at the front, next to some girl named Skye. On the other side of me was Leo. The class rooms dim lighting engulfed me into day dreaming. I found myself swimming to get back to class.
"Maddison Tay?" My teacher bellowed.
"Here sir, sorry about that"
I felt a nudge, "Hi, I'm Skye "
"Hi, I'm Maddy, nice to meet you"
"You too, you're doing Forensics aswell?" Her voice was louder then expected, the class fell silent and Mr. Grey let out a cough "Quiet please."
"Okay, so anyone doing forensics is in this form"
My eyes fell close.
"Cassie am I boring you? What else have you picked?"
The class laughed.
"No, sir sorry. I picked Forensics and Anthropology, sir"
I slumped down in my chair. Well this is going to be fun.
I ran out of the class room as the bell chimed, it was lunch, the school was much larger then anticipated. However, it was nice. Eventually, I found my way. There was lex, eating with another boy and a girl.
I grabbed my bag, and purchased a portion of chips and sat down at the table.
"Hello Maddy, this is  Finn and Alora, they are taking medicine in the morning class."
"Hello guys, lovely to meet you"
I indulged on the food, it was nice. Cafeteria food was nice? Wow. This school must be fancy.
Shortly after I had finished my chips, the bell went. Eager students sprinted off to the next class, gently knocking into lockers and such. The smell of cleaning supplies drifted into the air, I knew that smell well.
"Well, well. Hello Maddie Tay, Lovely to see you"
A smirk appeared on his face.
"Well Hello, Leo James."
How did he remember my last name?
I stormed off.
I had Anthropology next, the study of humans. I had always been fascinated by the works of past human biology and culture, especially the Homo sapiens the and Neanderthals. And how the Homo sapiens (us) were the only human species to survive, well atleast to our knowledge. I strolled around, looking for some place to sit and read. I found a cosy spot, and read "The origins of Humanity." Until my teacher arrived.

"Hello All, I am Miss Lee. I will be teaching you Anthropology. Does anyone know anything about it?"
My hand flew up.
"Yes miss.... Tay?"
"Homo sapiens and...." I went on for about 2 minutes, miss looked quite impressed.
Class had ended.
My first day; completed.

A/N
