Life had been pretty eventful recently for Loki. He had met a sorcerer supreme variant of Tony Stark, in a timeline where Loki himself apparently had never existed. Which explained how the Mobius variant had no idea who he was. Somehow he was then swept up in a wild chase across the multiverse to catch a witch frantically search the multiverse for her children. Catch her, calm her down, keep her from being killed while keeping themselves alive had been no mean feat. They managed it all somehow, and Miss Chavez had even found a reality where Billy and Tommy existed.
He had then been invited to come back with them to their timeline. His variant here was dead, (or perhaps isolated on some distant planet?). He got to see his brother, it was a slightly confusing and strange reunion which was also kind of meeting each other for the first time. Thought they were so similar to the brothers they knew that it just felt like a reunion. Thought there was a lot to catch up on.
He had decided to visit the spot he had seen on his file at the TVA, the place where Odin had passed. He sat alone looking out towards the ocean, the wind blowing his hair and tie. He was wearing a new shirt similar to the one he had at the TVA. He had of course worn something more regal during the time spent traversing the multiverse, but this style had grown on him. And it was quite comfy. And perhaps it would help Syl....
"Loki?"
He turned around, not believing until he saw her.
She was running towards him and he sprang up to go meet her halfway.
She stopped just short of him, he took the last steps to bring himself right in front of her. She started to apologise. He stopped her, bringing her into a hug. "It's okay. I understand. I'm okay."
They stood there in each other's arms, time seemingly standing still and rushing past at the same time.
Loki then noticed the minutemen standing awkwardly around them. "Um... "
Sylvie disentangled herself from Loki's arms and began to address the minutemen. "Um.. well.. we have this variant. Let's take him in and meet back with the rest of the team."
She turned back to Loki's raised eyebrows. "You work for the TVA now?" He asked.
"It's more like our interests are aligned."
"And those are?"
"I'm not entirely sure. I'm.. I'm hoping you could help me figure it out."
