Waking up

The sun was shining through a gap in the curtains right onto Loki's currently closed eyelids. He groaned, he felt awful. He must have had much more than his full of alcohol for him to be feeling this terrible. He raised his hand out to block the light as he opened his eyes, his gaze falling upon the woman before him. The morning sunlight made her hair a golden frame around her beautiful face. Sylvie groaned as she too woke up. She looked no better than he felt, though her smile when she saw him seemed to cut through it all.

Loki then noticed there was something pressed up against his back. He turned and his eyebrows shot up as he saw the guy behind him. Carefully he sat up and spotted another woman behind Sylvie.

Loki's eyebrows shot up. "Very cozy," he said, it took him a moment to remember the events of last night. He tried to get off the bed without disturbing everyone, which was impossible.

Quill sat up, rubbing his eyes and making a lot of noise. "Haven't woken up to something like this since..." He looked down. "What happened last night?" He asked.

"Just Karaoke, don't worry. I'm surprised you can speak at all." Sylvie informed him.

"We may need another room if we ever do something like this again. Or let someone sleep on the floor instead of this ridiculous top and tail." Loki said, "I thought it would be fine but it wasn't."

They filed out of the room one at a time into the lounge. Thor was still passed out on the couch, Bruce was carefully navigating the kitchen using a pencil to help with smaller items like turning on the jug. Sif and Jane were at the table with mugs in hand. And sitting across from them was Mobius, and a blue lady with cybernetics that Loki had not seen before.

She stood up. "We need to get going Quill, Rocket was wanting to leave in 20 minutes." She walked out the door and Quill followed quickly as if he feared being dragged out.

"Did you kids have a good night out?" Mobius asked. "You've seemed to settle in quite nicely. I'm so sorry that I have to be brief and ruin this but unfortunately I'm the bearer of bad news."

"The multiversal war." Loki looked up and sighed, "How could we believe that we could have any peace?" He had so easily gotten lost in this life. Sylvie put her hand on his shoulder and seemed like she was trying to say something. He placed his hand on top of hers, "As long as we have each other, we'll be okay."
