Sylvie took one final glance in the mirror, admiring her reflection. She walked into the hallway and spotted Loki coming out of his room. His outfit was a perfect match with hers, a green top, black pants and a fine leather jacket. Matchy matchy was not really her thing usually, but this was nice for tonight.
"You look great."
"I was about to say the same for you."
"Of course you were, I look fabulous."
Valkyrie leaned against the doorframe at the end of the hall, she already had a drink in hand and had had enough of this, "If you two are done complementing yourselves, each other, and so therefore yourselves we can head on into town."
They had met the new king of Asgard when they had moved here, she had a very interesting way of running everything. They followed her out into the lounge which was now packed with all of Thor's friends. This was going to be an interesting night.
"Well, I believe we'll be needing a few introductions," Thor said as he began to gesture around the room, "Everyone except Quill knows Loki, but this is Loki who has time traveled from the Battle of New York. He's not evil I swear. And next to him is Sylvie, she is another time travelling Loki."
"That explains the cute matching outfits." Quill interrupted.
"Was one not enough?" Lady Sif said exasperated.
"Why does she look so different from him? And he looks exactly like Loki from this universe, all of us looked the same." Bruce puzzled over the mystery, "So there are parallel universes that are exactly the same as well as some where we are very different but still ourselves. Or we created a parallel timeline with identical versions of ourselves during the time heist."
"The sacred timeline had a surprising amount of variation, attempting to imagine the possibilities in the multiverse is madness." Loki told Bruce, "It's best not to question it."
"The alligator was a bit out there." Sylvie said, remembering when Loki had said those exact words to her in the void. He smiled at her knowingly.
"Anyway back to introductions," Thor said loudly, "We have Valkyrie, Quill, Jane, Bruce and Sif."
"No extra explanations for who we are? Just list our names off, ok Thor I see how it is." Valkyrie said.
"My apologies your majesty. If anyone somehow didn't already know this is the King of Asgard. Anyone else? Or can we go." Thor said as he stood up and made his way to the door.
"Had your full yet brother!?" Thor hollered.
"You obviously have." Loki replied.
Quill came back to the table with another round. "There's karaoke! Anyone up for some spice girls? I just really really really wanna sing that one yah!"
"Sure." Sylvie got up and followed the eager Quill across the room.
Quill hollered at the top of his lungs, there was a lot of enthusiasm in his performance but not a lot of anything else. Loki watched captivated, he watched as Sylvie tried her best to sing seriously then double over with laughter as Quill pranced around singing his lungs out. He realised this was probably a new experience for Sylvie. Yes she had probably attended many parties and similar functions, but always with death and destruction looming overhead. Never had the chance to make any kind of connection with any of it because it would all be gone the next day. Now she could just be happy. Loki smiled, stood up and went over to join them for the next song.
"He is different isn't he?" Said Sif.
"It's weird how he looks at her right." Jane added.
"Well, whatever your into." Valkyrie stated, throwing one arm around Jane and the other around Thor.
"It's cute." Bruce confirmed.
