*** Evelyn's POV ***

The moving company finally shows up at my new place at four o'clock. Four days after the originally promised delivery and now several hours after the expected arrival today. The driver is full of excuses, but I am not having it. I want accountability for the mess this has become.

The driver rudely cuts me off. "Look lady, I need to contact home office and see about getting a crew here to unload. If no one is available tonight, you'll be lucky if we can get this unloaded before Monday."

"What?!" I shriek.

He waves me out of his face and escapes into the cabin of his truck. I am at a complete loss for words. I start my job on Monday. I can't go another three days without my stuff. I pull my phone out to call the moving company's corporate office and ream them out, but my phone starts ringing in my hand.

"What?" I answer gruffly.

"Hi. I just realized I don't have your address. I'm about to leave the office." It is Rafael.

"Don't bother coming. The truck is here, but they may not be able to unload if they can't find a crew." I quickly explain fighting to keep my emotions in check.

"The truck is there and they won't unload your stuff?" He asks.

"Correct. Because they are so damn late, they may not be able to find a crew and if they don't find one tonight, they may not be able to unload until Monday." I grumble.

"Hold tight, okay? Send me your address and don't let that truck leave." He instructs.

"Okay." I reply and hang up not sure what he has in mind. I type in my address and send it along then park myself on the stoop to await an answer. After what feels like forever but is really only like twenty minutes, the driver emerges from his cabin.

"Corporate is trying, but it doesn't look good. And it looks like I was right, they are booked through the weekend. I'm going to stay until I hear back, but wanted to let you know that it doesn't look good." He states. He doesn't look a bit bothered about delivering this blow.

"You're so helpful." I hiss sarcastically. "Maybe if you weren't four days late in the first place..."

He rolls his eyes and climbs back into his rig. I bite my lip and angrily push the number for the moving company. And of course I am put into a mind-numbing loop of menus. When I finally think I am connected and will get to speak to a real person, the overly processed and loud hold music starts anew.

"Fucking really?" I growl, holding my phone out to look at it with disgust. I am stewing when I hear a familiar sound of laughter. I look up to see four near-identical handsome faces striding towards me. They are in conversation, but then the one face that I am most intimately familiar with turns his attention to me and I feel like I might implode under his heated gaze.

I end the tortuous phone call and gap at them. "What are you all doing here?"

"Rafael said you needed help moving in." Nick is the first to speak up.

"Can't say that it was the strangest request my family has made on my time." Christian shrugs. He is wearing a tank and his arm muscles bulge.
