There was a thunderstorm.

The rain was violently spiting, showering the earth with its freezing water, the wind howled loudly whilst the thunderstruck emphatically and strikes of lightning lit up the bleak night in flashes.

The sound of glass shattering could be heard, as the racket of a body falling through a window added to the hectic and noisy night.

Their throat was slit. So they had died before impact.

Before The Death

Three months had passed and the season had changed from summer to autumn.

The people of Equessira were in celebration as the pass over of the epidemic that struck them had been solved by the Duke of Crawford and the Princess of Alira, Ophelia Celine. Saving and curing them from an inevitable end.

Their names were chanted in the streets and celebrated.

However, during this time Leon was busy with his plans to uprise against the Emperor. Prince André who had no wish to claim the throne was helping them, and Zodan and Zelda had persuaded the chief commanding officer to give Leon his soldiers.

Son of the Marquis of Harbour had been working with secret news outlets posting the malicious deeds of the Emperor and his associates and uplifting the image of the Duke of Crawford.

And so the public began to turn against the leading monarch but of course, the Emperor retaliated punishing those that went against him using them as an example of what the outcome of questioning his authority was, and giving the people what they wanted.

Furthermore, he'd marked the day of Stella's full recovery as a national holiday, and also claiming it was for the victory against the virus that overtook them.

"Oh no! Did you hear!?" Rosetta asked Ophelia stumped by the upcoming news.

"Hear what?" She replied as they walked into the Lunar Library.

"That it was predicted to be a storm tonight! The banquet and festival it's also supposed to be tonight!" Rosetta exclaimed as she slumped onto a chair.

Then out of nowhere Zodan had appeared and answered "It's been moved indoors to the main palace hall, also the festival will just have to go on but they'll just place forts to deter from the rain,"

"Oh, so then the banquet is still open to the public and the Nobles?" Ophelia curiously questioned further.

"Yes it is, the Emperor really wants to please the people," he sighed.

Rosetta then interfering "But still, to have a whole entire city celebrating on the night of a storm... shouldn't they just move the day,"

"I mean I don't see any problem with it at all," Ophelia told her then her maid Sarah whispered something into her ear "Anway I must go back to my room now, it seems like I have a gift awaiting me,"
