"Shadow, I think we should talk about what's going on with us", Taehyung shyly admitted as the two creatures were on their daily forest promenade. 

This line made Jungkook look down from the greenery above and direct his gaze towards his lover in a curious manner. 

"What's going on with us?", he replied as though he wasn't aware of what the soul was on about. 

"Come one Koo, you know what I mean", the soul spoke slightly annoyed. 

Jungkook knew. He knew very well what Taehyung was talking about yet knowing didn't make the bound to happen argument easier. 

The invisibles walked mutely for a short while before the shadow finally gathered up enough courage to directly open up about his troubles. 

"I can't do this anymore", began the shadow, "Taehyung I can't endure the way you treat yourself. I'm constantly worrying about you and it drives me insane, it needs to stop", expressed the younger. 

"I know the feeling" , chuckled the soul as he brought his vision back to the ground. 

Jungkook sighed, "Soul...this isn't funny. I'm telling you that I'm genuinely struggling so please...just.. just try to make it look like you care", he responded. 

"Sorry, sorry I'm listening", replied the soul.

"Thank you love. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that things can't go on like this. With both of us silently suffering I mean" 

"I know and I'm trying really hard but I can't switch off my emotions when they get too much, that's impossible Koo", sighed the elder entity. 

"I'm aware but that doesn't mean you can't cope with them in a different way no? Like, I don't know, punch a pillow or something ?" ,Jungkook questioned. 

"Shadow... That's exactly like saying 'just eat' to a person like you. It doesn't work like that." 

"I see... well, could we.. I mean next time it happens could you try not to lock yourself in the bathroom? I'm not saying that you can't have privacy anymore, I'm just saying-"

"-that I shouldn't shut you out just because I'm afraid to hurt you ?", interrupted the other invisible.

"Yeah, that would be great" 

Taehyung averted his sight to the greenery above for a second then proceeded with his answer. 

"I'll try, I promise", he said with a gentle smile. 

Jungkook copied his smile then leaned in and pecked the soul's lips shortly. Taehyung responded immediately. 

"But you have to promise to try as well", Taehyung added after their lips detached again. 

The shadow was a little surprised by the other's sudden addition but remained composed while thinking about his request.

"I promise to try as well", he replied unconfidently but still smiling. 

Taehyung pecked Jungkook once more then whispered on his lips a small 'thank you' that the shadow answered with a quiet 'you too'. 

The two entities continued their walk contently. Hand in hand as the trees witnessed what no human possibly could; a literal invisible form of love.

The creatures were feeling accomplished. Both of them had promised to try to break the chain of wounds and cycle of cries they had respectively brought upon each other and that was the first step to a brighter future together. 

But a promise didn't guarantee success as they were spoken words merely...
