The two invisibles had been living peacefully.
Their relationship becoming official , the newly formed couple had been enjoying relaxing times in each other's company without necessarily making big plans as they both preferred staying at home anyway.
The invisibles also arranged Jungkook to formally become the loft's second resident which Taehyung had wanted starting from day one but wasn't sure if it was something okay to ask from the other so early.
But frankly speaking, not much had happened during these few weeks. Aside from their daily forest walks of course.
They mostly just spend their times cuddling and getting lost in the immense amount of affection and love the other one offered day by day.
From an other person's perspective , neither of them would've seemed unstable or struggling when in true reality , both of the creature were going trough some pretty challenging times.
The fact that there was always an other invisible watching over him when it was eating time was exceptionally hard on the shadow. And even tough he knew the soul only possessed positive intentions , he would do anything in his power to avoid his meals.
Even if that meant lots and lots of arguing.
Which , unfortunately , had devastating effects on his partner.
Taehyung would get aggressive throughout the fights and adding the fact that chances of the soul's anger decreasing during the hassle where close to nonexistent , things got out of hand pretty fast.
Shadow would stare at his plate instead of eating , Taehyung would ask why , Jungkook would get uncomfortable for a number of reasons , Taehyung would start feel frustrated that his lover didn't wanna nourish himself and the fight would commence.
Jungkook usually ended up crying seated before the bathroom frame, feeling guilty as the older cut himself listening to his lover's endless begs for him to unlock the door.
After while , Taehyung would settle his intense emotions and open the door frame so that the two of them could hold each other between choked-up apologies.
This almost daily cycle was rubbing off on the couple's ability to function safely and with enough stability for the two of them to continue on like this.
In other terms , the simple concept of being in a relationship as two mentally ill individuals was beginning to feel strenuous to the creatures. Primarily because of the upshots of their conditions and not the illness in itself but still.
Change was urgently needed and both of invisibles were aware of this fact.
However , both of them were terrified of the outcome of wrongly executed conversations and the lack of constancy to deal with thoughtless insults that would follow if the latter were to come true.
Taehyung in particular.
Borderline personality disorder has an incredibly high suicide rate and that was the sad reality amongst invisibles just as it was amongst humans. ( up to 10 % if any of the readers are curious )
Jungkook knew this. And it absolutely mortified him.
So much so that he always checked on his soul's breathing during nighttime , just like a worried mother would with her newborn child.
The shadow wasn't really the romantic type. His love language was , for the most part , quality time while Taehyung's ones were definitely words of affirmation and physical affection. Which basically meant soul's manner of showing his love was much more outwardly and distinguishable.
This is probably why Taehyung , who would require a lot of reassuring , felt as if Jungkook didn't really have feelings for him. The creature was scared that Jungkook would abandon him just like everyone else did.
Needless to say there were plenty of things they needed to glue within their partnership.
And both of them knew , yet neither of them wanted to admit it to themselves , that the only way that could be done was by communicating their troubles to each other.
'Communication is key' , both of them believed in this saying but believing in it didn't make it less scary to execute.
