𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐥'𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰 ↬ ᵗᵃᵉᵏᵒᵒᵏ ˢʰᵒʳᵗ ˢᵗᵒʳʸ

As a new day came to be, the soul and its sleeping partner gently started moving around resembling two flowers blossoming on a windy spring morning. 

Their arrangement, the two being tightly tangled, also reminded one of a flower bouquet. 

The younger entity was first to open its eyes. 

Jungkook looked up and was swiftly met with the soul's face in front of his. This unexpected closeness obviously making his cheeks flush bright red. 

Although his attempt at slipping out of the elder's arms succeeded, his other attempt, being not to awaken the latter unfortunately didn't. 

"Morning shadow" , the other mumbled shortly. 

"Good morning soul" , Jungkook replied with a soft smile. 

After this small interaction came to an end, it was silence anew.

Taehyung and Jungkook continuously contemplated each other without a single word as if their were studying the other invisible -- examining their every curve while inspecting the entirety of their figure with so much attention it could cause a headache. 

The soul felt a warm yet unexplainably painful feeling invade his heart as he noiselessly let himself get lost in the other's chocolate like eyes. 

Jungkook on the other end, felt on top of the world as the elder gently drew small shapes on his arms and palms. 

"Wanna get breakfast together ?" , Tae asked after a while. 

But unlike the simple 'sure' he had expected, Jungkook's facial expression suddenly changed. 

The shadow quickly shifted his sight to the wall and persistently avoided eye contact with the confused soul. 

"I-I u-usually don't e-eat in the m-morning" , he stuttered nervously. 

Taehyung knew his reaction was far too extreme for this kind of question but decided to brush it off as the other simply not being hungry. 

"No problem. What about coffee ?" , he tried instead. 

"Yes please" , shadow responded with a gentle smile. 

𝖙𝖎𝖒𝖊 𝖘𝖐𝖎𝖕

The afternoon had gone smoothly yet oddly for the invisibles. 

After breakfast, the two had agreed on a short morning walk in the nearby forest. 

Taehyung was familiar to this kind of scenery but Jungkook was visibly amazed by each and every detail the type of environment had to offer. 

Each time they passed a new living being, Jungkook would jump to it and inspect it without a single thought.

Taehyung found this untamable curiosity of his absolutely endearing.
