Chapter - 9

Percy pov:

It was July 1st week. He completed 3 years of syllabus till now. There are many incidents happened this past month. One such incident is professor Snape confronted him.

Percy entered the DADA classroom. Apparently remus was sick and professor Snape took the class for him. Percy know why remus was sick. He thought Snape would start the lesson straight away but that doesn't happen. When percy looked up the professor is looking like he was having an internal battle. Finally professor snape cleared his throat and said something that shocked him " I saw you in your merform in the lake from Slytherin common rooms. I know who you are."

Percy wanted to deny it and act innocent but he wanted to know what the man know about him so he asked " What do you know professor?" Snape replied " I know you're not just a heir to Shafiq but also grandson of Dark Lord Mr. Jackson or should i say Your highness Prince Perseus". Percy was impressed but hid it and asked with a raised eyebrow " when did you come to that conclusion that i was a prince?" Professor snape replied " I wasn't like headmaster i'll remember every powerful person i read about whether they are useful for me or not. I have my doubts since i saw you and they are confirmed when i saw your merform."

Percy nodded and said " you are right professor. But i'm wishing that you keep that secret from everyone. Otherwise it won't end well for one of us." percy tone darkened at last sentence. Professor Snape suppressed his shudder and said nodding "yes ofcourse. Your secret is safe with me". Percy grinned and said " Now that was out of the way. How about we become friends. After all i'll owe you one for keeping my secrets. I'll call you professor infront of everyone and Severus when there's no one" giving his hand to shake. Professor snape looks like he is weighing the options which he didn't have much and shake his hand nodding.

Percy may didn't know now but it was start of his weird friend circle in wizarding world where you can see all types of wizards who dispite having differences between themselves will become friends because of him, and he already made two who have differences one werewolf and another head of Slytherin his friends.

After that day he and Severus got close and percy learned that the man was a complicated man who hides his concern behind his sneering mask. The time with gabe taught him to pick the signs of abused and he realised severus is one.

After he completed his 2nd year syllabus he got options for electives. He discussed which he can choose with both severus and remus individually. Both of them suggested to take Ancient runes, Arithmancy and care of magical creatures. He just read every elective textbook night before he choose his electives. He learned that his muggle studies book wasn't as insulting as the book he saw in Flourish and Blotts. He didn't want to choose divination afterall all his life is full of prophecies, but he want to learn from wizard point of view. So the next day he selected all of the electives. After that day his schedule get even more hectic.

There is a Boggart incident in his first 3rd year DADA class which reminded him how he can be revealed if he wouldn't be careful. The boggart didn't take any form. It just burst into flames and become golden dust signifying it indeed died because of mythological reason. He shrugged to remus at that time like he didn't know anything. When he researched about boggarts in his room in the book given by his house elves, he learned the creatures not only just turn into their worst fears but they will have some of the abilities of the form they have. Now percy know what his worst fear is. The human form of tart.. tarta.. pit. He didn't know how but he saw the true form not just what a human eye can make out. That's why he released his sword, he was completely petrified then his only wish at that time was annabeth couldn't see what he saw. So the boggart burst into flames because it tries to become the pit human form but can't contain the power.
