Chapter-19

Percy Pov:

For next few days Sirius Black is the main topic for students. They're coming up with very weird theories of how Black entered the castle. Percy's dream really disturbed him. He couldn't meet Remus's eye, in his first DADA class after Halloween. But Percy decided he'll confornt Remus after today's class.

Percy ate breakfast and made his way to DADA class. All the class was already filled but strangely Remus wasn't there at the table. Percy sat at his usual place beside Cedric. Cedric is the only one in class who can even remotely can keep up with him. They're dueling partners in this class.

When bell rang, the door opened and to his and class surprise Professor Snape walked into the class. All Gryffindors groaned silently. He pity them, apparently they got a new portrait for Gryffindor tower and he was a lunatic, now their favourite class was hijacked by the Professor who known for being partial to his house.

"Well everyone, since Professor Lupin called sick today and asked me to fill for him I'm here to teach you. Good for you, you'll learn something useful today." Snape said. Percy grimaced, he knew Severus and Remus had some blood between them, what it was? Percy didn't know. But that doesn't give a reason to Snape to call Remus a incompetent teacher.

"Professor Lupin are teaching us some dueling techniques. We already tried all of our previous year spells wordlessly" one brave Gryffindor or stupid perhaps said as if defending Professor Lupin's honour. Snape lips became thin line and said sneering "So you all saying, you know everything. Ok now I'll ask you questions. If anyone gets the answer wrong, they'll have a detention."

All the remaining students glared at the Gryffindor student, who now looks like he is seriously considering his life decisions. "How you stop a stunning spell and i want different anwers" said Snape pointing to one Hufflepuff student. "Shield charm" said the student. Snape nodded and pointed to another one. Students are coming up with different answers. If you are a Slytherin you'll get points for right answer and if you're not you'll get a nod. The class became a question and answer session. Snape quickly changed questions to magical beasts. And Percy realised most of them are about werewolves.

By the end of the class many students got detentions and some of the students got it because Snape didn't like the answer. "Seriously now all you dunderheads are in NEWT level Defence class and most of you don't even know about vampires, werewolves" Snape said. None of the students pointed out that they answered about those questions. "Now write an essay about vampires and werewolves and their familiarities and differences." Snape said.

Percy wasn't a child of Athena, but he won two wars. So he can understand a strategy when he saw one. And telling a bunch of students who passed their OWL's in DADA to write a essay about werewolves when one of their Professor become ill every month is one hell of a strategy. A petty one Yes, but very good one. Percy knew since it was only two months no one thought about it much, but with this essay most of the students can figure out Remus secret. "Now get out" Snape barked. Immediately all students were out of class except Percy. When everyone was out Percy looked into Snape eyes and said "Seriously Severus. I know you guys had something between you two. But it was really low blow." With that Percy went out without looking back.

Percy met the golden trio on the staircase when he is going for dinner. Three of them are looking gloomy, so he said he'll join them at their table to Roger and Marcus. He made his way to the trio. "Hai guys, Why are looking so sad. What happened now?" Percy asked. "I've got a detention with Snape today. It's not my fault either" Ron said groaning. "You said 'You asked us a question and she knows the answer Why ask if you don’t want to be told?' to Snape" Hermione pointed out looking somewhat impressed. Percy raised an eyebrow, he didn't take Ron as a sarcastic person. "He took points because you answered correctly. And he called you know-it-all. I can't just sit there silently" Said Ron. "You don't need to get into trouble for me——" Hermione said.
