The Croods: Follow the light

Ch 1

The cave door opens to reveal Meer-dogs. Grug runs out screaming gibberish. The meer-dogs run I'm fear.

"Aahhhh!" He screamed.

*Crack!*

"Ugh!" He groaned as his back cracked from the lack of movement from being stuck in a cave for days. An albino meer-dog sits in front of him and he growls at it making it run away.

"Wah!" Two girls yelled as the jump on their fathers back and jump on the cave ledge.

"Your supposed to wait for my signal Eep, Eev. You guys." He said as he called his teenage daughters, but they ignore him and jump on the roof of the cave.

"Boo." Eev said and the meer-dogs that were asleep on the roof panicked and jumped of landing on Grug drilling him into the ground.

The two girls lay on a rock and stretch their limbs under the heat of the sun.

"Ah, that's nice." Eev said.

"Ah,We've been in that cave forever." Eep groans.

"Three days is not forever." Grug said.

"It is with this family." Eev said as she rolls on her stomach.

"Eep, Eev would you come down here, you're being so-so dramatic." Grug said and  Eev rolled her eyes.

A little baby girl come running out the cave on all fours.

"No,no,no,no Sandy come back here Remember the signal. Good girls wait for the signal." Grug said, but Sandy got distracted by a flying bug which she jumped and caught it with its legs in her mouth, he tried to catch her but the bug flew high.

"Ugga." He whined seeing his mate out the cave.

"As soon as I get Sandy I'll go back in and you can give the signal." Ugga said jumping and catching Sandy and walks back to the cave.

"No, I mean your already out now." He said.

"I'm waiting for the signal dad." A voice from the cave said.

"Nevermind Thunk just come out." Grug said.

"But if you don't give the signal... how do I know your my dad?" Thunk said.

"The signal isn't so you know it's me. It's so you know i wasn't eaten by an animal." Grug said.

"Then why is the signal an animal noise, doesn't that just confuse thing? I-I'm still waiting for the signal." Thunk said and Grug groans and does an awkward pose and makes the signal.

Thunk comes rushing out screaming everywhere and bumps into Grug knocking him over, Thunk threw a rock and Grug punched Thunk to stop him, the rock cane back and knocked Grug over rolling him in the process.

"Mom, we're ready to leave." Ugga said but got no reply.

"Mom?" She said as she looked into the cave, the longer the silence was made Grug smile.

"Still alive!" Gran said as she got out of the cave with her walking stick.

"It's still early." Grug muttered.

"And your still fat!" She fired making him groan.

"Breakfast formation!" Grug said gaining the two teens attention and they jumped down from the rock.

"I wanna see some real caveman action out there, we do this fast, we do this loud, we do this as a family and never not be afraid!" He said as the family got ready and then they ran after he spoke. When they stopped they were gasping for air from their long run to food.
