Chapter 8

"I am completely drained." Y/N remarked, flopping on to the bed Phil and Trixtin got her. Despite the fact she had had an amazing and extremely productive day, she could barely stand to do anything else. Her head was buried in the pillow as she loosely clutched her phone. She was glad that she was already in her pj's, (having switched after the stream) because right now she did NOT feel like moving. It was late, so Trixtin had gone to bed and Phil was finishing up editing in his room.  The only thing that could make her move was-

          Is calling!!

"Speak of the damn devil..." She breathed, turning over and answering the call.

"Hey mate." She greeted sleepily. 

"Hey Y/N, you sound tired. Should we skip our chat tonight?"

"No, no it's fine. How are you?"

"Awake-ish. What about you?" 

"Same. Whatcha doin?"

"Lying in my bed, you?"

"Same."

"How is it at Phil's?"

"Really great, I missed them terribly. They gave me my own room here and let me paint it, it's wonderful."

"Yoo nice, show me."

She turned on her camera and showed him her work.

"Y/N that's fucking amazing man. Especially the little us' gaming at your desk."

"Awww thanks, mate." She was blushing profusely, shocked he liked it. Especially the little them's as well!!

"No problem, your art really is great."

"That means so much mate, you don't even know."

"It is true. Would I ever lie to you?" 

She paused for a moment jokingly. "Not that I know of. I wouldn't lie to you either, by the way."

"Good to know, haha."

"Did you enjoy the stream?" 

"Yeah I had a nice time."

"I'm glad. Hey, can you believe vidcon is only in a month?" 

"No I really can't. Can you believe we'll finally be meeting up?"

"Not at all, that's mental. Especially since I'll be living in your house for like a week, mental mate..." 

"It really is insane."

"It'll also be my first time in America, I've always wanted to go to California, see Hollywood and all that."

"We can go if you want, its only a couple hours from me."

"Oh my fucking god, really?"

"Yeah sure, if you want." 

"That's mental holy shit-"

"Your right for wanting to go, it's actually pretty fucking cool."

"Thank you so much. Sure I won't be too annoying on the car ride, hehe?" She joked.

"Nooo, you annoying? Whattt-couldn't be you." Y/N laughed softly at his sarcasm.

"All jokes aside, I'm really excited. I haven't met up with anyone yet." Dave remarked.

"Wait you seriously haven't? Not Schlatt, not Clay, not Ranboo? Really?"

"Nope, no one."

"Wow, we are so fuckin' changing that, that's sad mate."

"Bruhhhh legitimately fuckin' no one I'm close with lives in this goddamn place-"

"What about Schlatt?"

"We've discussed it but never followed through."

"Are you lonely, Mate?"

"PFFT WHAT THE FUCK-" Dave exclaimed. They both wheezed.

"Why'd you have to fucking call me out- bruhh..."

"I'm sorry it's just-y'know...you haven't even met up with the people in your area...I've met up with Tommy, Wilbur, Toby, George, and Jack like three times- Even Ranboo has met up with Toby and they live in different countries-"

"I suppose that is a fair point..."

"Mhm."

"We should definitely change that, yeah you're probably right."

"Mhm."

"You were right, I suppose. But just this once!"

"Yep, sure mate. Whatever you want to believe."

"What other times were you right?"

"How about that one time you insisted my bed protection strat wouldn't work and we got wrecked because you fixed it, then we tried it and we won?"

"Now wait that was one time it didn't work-"

"Or when we played Diversity 2 and you did the puzzle wrong, couldn't solve it, and the way I said it should be done worked."

"That was by chance-"

"In the exact same map, you insisted during the droppers that the lapis was water then died falling into it every time, but the water that you said was lapis, I dropped right into, survived, then watched you hit the lapis from the actual water hole."

"Do you just fuckin' have this shit written down???"

 "Or the time you looked me dead in my eyes and honest to god told me the Empire State Building was in Connecticut." 

"That was an accident!"

"Or that one time you-

"-Alright, alright, fine. You are right quite a bit of the time."

"Thank you Dave." She smiled proudly.

"Yeah whatever."

"Hehe." 

They continued to chat for another hour, discussing shared memories and talking about vidcon and finally meeting up. Y/N ended up falling asleep on call, her voice getting drowsier and fainter until she finally closed her eyes.

"Y/N? Y-Y/n...? Wait are you asleep?" He heard her faint, soft, adorable snores in response to his query. He smiled and blushed, listening to her as he began to fall asleep as well. 

"I-I lo-love you N-N/N..." He whispered hesitantly, trailing off softly as he fell asleep on call with her.
