Hello lovelies I'm just popping in to tell you that if you read the first chapter to go back and have a quick look at it as I've added a couple details about Laura's mother which will be useful to know for this chapter I have also added mood boards for the characters I generally just went over the first chapter and improved it as it was not to the standard I would've liked. LAURA WEST
I reach over and grab the gun placing it onto my skirt, I am not afraid, I know how to use it and I will if this fucker tries anything.
"I've got it" I say.
Although I doubt he will as I look behind and the lights are no longer there.
"He's gone" I say to Antonio still hearing his engine purr over the phone.
I turn my lights off on the car and slowly put the brake on.
Clutch 5th gear, brake clutch 4th gear, break clutch 3rd gear.
I turn into a side road and park behind some trees and switch the engine off keeping an eye out the windows making sure they did not find us.
"I'm parked down a dark road behind some trees, my lights are off and engine too I have the gun in my lap and I'm keeping a lookout" I say to him
"Okay good, is milly asleep? we are close" he replies.
I look back and milly is still soundly asleep, how?!
"Yes she's fine" I say and with that the dial tone sounds. Great, he really stopped the call in a moment of CRISIS.
Suddenly I hear cars pulling onto the dark road I'm on. I duck down and put the gun in my hand peeking around the corner. I see 2 ferraris and 4-5 g wagons pull up and surround me.
Fuck. If this isn't Antonio I'm well and truly fucked out of my brains.
Out of both the Ferrari's Luca and Antonio step out, I place the gun down knowing I'm safe and unlock the doors of the car. They both rush over and I step out.
They are about to all start talking as I see a few men stepping out of the g-wagons with guns in their arms as they comb the area. What the fuck. There is some shady shit going on with Antonio and Luca I can feel it.
I shush them before they all start rushing me with questions and point to the back of the car signalling to milly. Luca gives me a hug.
"You shouldn't have been involved in this I'm sorry Laura all will be explained when we get back to the house" he says to me.
I look to Antonio hoping to get some words of encouragement but simply stares at Lucas hands which are on my shoulders.
"I'll ride with you and milly back to the house to make sure nobody follows." He says coldly.
"I'll see you back at the house Laura." Luca says to me before turning to Antonio
"I will get Rio to drive your car back brother" and with that Luca walks away shouting something in Italian to the men and they all climb back into the cars and begin leaving the road.
I climb into the drivers seat in the g-wagon. Antonio looks at me shocked.
"Out" he says
"No way I'm driving don't even start an argument with me. Im driving" I say in a whisper shout.
"Don't drive like a slow ass granny" he says getting in the car and taking the gun I had left in the middle compartment and stuffing it into his trousers letting it poke out of his shirt he looks at me up and down and traps his bottom lip between his teeth and rolls his head back looking out the window.
HOTTEST EVER MAN I STG
"Me? A granny?" I scoff.
"Whatever, just get us back to the house Laura" he says, bored now.
I pull out of the small road and I hit the fast road, I pick up my pace careful to keep an eye on the cars around me. I am not an idiot I know how to drive well I would not drive at these speeds if I didn't know I had full control.
I bite my lip as I hit 120, the street lamps flashing through the car. I can feel him looking at me I take one hand off the steering wheel and lean back turning to him and locking our eyes I smirk and wink at him. Then turning my head back to the road
"Fuck" I hear him say under his breath and I see him adjusting himself.
I hit the brake as I make the turn into the mansion and I pull into the garage.
Antonio gets out and slams the door I get out and slap him pointing again at the back off the car reminding him milly is sleeping his eyes darken and he walks into the house. Thanks for the help.
I pick milly up and wrap her legs around me and carry her into the house, I am greeted by Elena and Harry's worried faces as they both engulf me and milly in a tight hug they both plant a kiss on my head.
"You have saved her, Laura when could we ever thank you enough let us give you something, I'm so sorry I didn't answer your call my phone died I feel so so terrible." Elena said to me with tears in her eyes I pass milly to Harry and Elena grabs me, squeezing me I hold her tight stroking her back as she cried into me.
"You are the biggest blessing Laura I'm so so sorry we put you in danger" she says in my ear.
"Elena I would do anything for milly she has become such a big part in my life in 2 days. I do not need anything from you the best thing is that we're both here safe" I say.
She smiles at me and her and Harry take milly up to bed.
"Rose?" I hear a gruff voice behind me
I spin round at the sound of my mothers name and come face to face with a man in his late 50's he was very good looking for his age, he had a deep Italian accent.
Woah DILF alert
"Oh my gosh Laura, you look just like your mother" the man says to me
"I'm sorry?" I question
"Your mother was rose west no?" He paused, confused "the best female seduction assassin?"
He asks.
"Yes, how do you know my mother though?" I question confused
"Darling owning the Italian mafia I know everyone, she was a good connection of ours rose was, I am Andy Giovanni owner of the Italian Mafia and Elena and Antonio's father" he says shaking my hand.
I knew something was fishy, but a mafia was something I did not expect. Bit ironic isn't it Antonio owning a law firm as a cover for the Italian mafia.
"How did you know who I was?"
"The only child of the best female assassin and she was a daughter, darling everyone in the mafia and criminal world knows who you are and many are looking for you wondering if you continue your mothers business" He continues
"I, however am the only one that knew that you were a lawyer I seen your application forms to work for my company and knew exactly who you was. The Italian mafia is the only one who knows where you are and who you are"
"Does Antonio know?" I wonder feeling my heart sink, was he just sleeping with me because he knew who my mother was and he had orders to keep me close to the Italian mafia?
