Chapter Thirty Seven

Y/N's POV

Unpleasant way to wake up #1: getting water poured all over your face. I sat up in shock, trying to steady my breathing. People were surrounding me. Banner put the bottle of water to my lips, making me drink the liquid, bringing me back to my senses. "I'm not okay."

Natasha walked out of the room. I was about to read Natasha's mind but Wanda stopped me. "The reason you fainted was because you were overworked. You need to take a break. Plus, you were out for a good 3 hours. We need to leave for S.H.I.E.L.D Headquarters, like, now."

The twins I all got into one car, with my dad on the wheel. Dad was going to get Happy to drive, but he wouldn't be allowed to go inside and we didn't know how long it would take. Wanda had to call Natasha, who said she'd drive there on her own. It was a 1 and 1/2 hour drive, which I was bored out of my mind throughout the whole ride.

S.H.I.E.L.D HQ

Y/N's POV

We arrived to be greeted by Fury and Natasha. How did she get there faster than us? I don't know. We walked to a cell. Yes I repeat, a cell. Inside, it contained a table, a camera and two chairs. Fury pulled out a chair for himself, while I sat on the other chair.

He turned the camera on, set it up so it could capture all 6 of us in the frame. He started the recording and said, "I'm Nicholas J. Fury. Today, I'll be receiving and giving answers. I would like you to clarify your birth date, your name, your age and today's date."

I spoke confidently, "My name is Y/N Stark, my birthday is September 6th, 2009, I'm 11 years old and today's date is..." I looked over at Wanda and whispered, "What's the date?" She responded with, "July 10th, 2021."

I continued, "July 10th, 2021." Fury said, "No, no and no." Hold on, what? Pietro said, "Your name is Y/N Maximoff-" Tony interrupted, "Y/N Maximoff Stark. I adopted her." What? Pietro continued as if Tony never interrupted, "Your birthday is September 6th, 2000 and you're 20."

"Excuse me, is this some kind of sick joke? There's no way I'm 20. I won't believe it till I have proof."

Wanda said, "When we were 10 and you were 6, our parents died. You loved space and even though we didn't have much money, we used whatever we had to send you into outer space, with the help of Carol. We did it just to somehow relive your trauma. You were flown to a planet called Vulcan, where you lived alongside aliens. In Vulcan, time runs differently so you're 11 on there, 20 on Earth. You also age differently there so in a couple days, you'll get back to your actual age... Look wise."

"So, you're saying that Florence Hunter isn't my aunt?" I got a series of nods before Fury asked, "Florence Hunter? You know Agent Hunter?" Tony asked, " Agent Hunter? I thought she was 'Flo, my cousin'. " I said, "I thought she was Aunt Flo. What is going on?!"

Natasha asked, "Why am I here again?"
