Natasha's POV
I was sleeping calmly, which is something I haven't been able to do for a while now. I don't think the reason for it was what happened with Steve today. To be honest, I think it was the presence of Y/N. She seems trustworthy, something I usually can't identify within the first day of meeting someone.
Anyway, I was woken up by gentle shakes. There was a firm grip on my arm and might have overreacted a bit. I flipped the person over and held them back by their shoulders. Bad idea. It happened to be Y/N. I quickly apologized for my actions. God, it looks like Steve is rubbing off on me.
Y/N's POV
"Nat. Nat! Natasha. Natasha, wake up!" Bad idea. Mental note: never try to wake Natasha up. She flipped me over and pinned me by my shoulders while turning the light on. Her face softened when she recognized it was me. She apologized and said, "Now, you'd better have a good explanation for waking me up."
I looked away, breaking eye contact with Nat. "I was hungry," I mumbled. Nat seemed a bit confused. "Can you say that again? I didn't hear you the first time." I spoke a little louder. "My dad's dinner didn't really fill me up." Yes, I'm an average pre-teen, but I've got the stomach capacity of a grown man. Natasha groaned, asking, "Seriously? So, you woke me up for this? Whatever, how about a 2am McDonald's drive?" I smiled and nodded. "Sure, if you don't mind."
Natasha quickly grabbed her keys off the hook on the wall, grabbed my hand and raced down to where her car was parked to start this new adventure.
A/N: Sheeeshh- I feel like a 3rd wheel for some reason... I also feel single af. Also, thank you so much for 1k. I'm so glad I've gotten all you peeps throughout this journey. Thank you for all the support!! ❤
