Vines curling around her legs. Fiery shards cutting into her brain. Fear haunting every bit of her being.

Rainbow Dash grunted as she tried to escape her attackers. Hades and the cloaked figure back, inside that obsidian palace, someone screaming her name into the wind.

"RAINBOW DASH!"

"Wha--what?" Rainbow opened her eyes to find herself on the steps of a school, in front of her a gleaming white box that was a portal to a magical pony world.

"You had another nightmare, right?" Twilight Sparkle asked, sitting next to her. "What happened this time?"

"The... they were back," Rainbow said. "The cloaked person... Hades... they tried to kill me!"

Twilight pushed her glasses up her nose and looked away. Rainbow knew she would be lost about that. But then again, she was probably still recovering from that horrid event merely a month ago...

Only last month, Twilight, Sunset Shimmer, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity had followed Rainbow Dash through a golden whirlpool, exposing themselves not only to the truth about how Greek mythology was real, but they also found out that Rainbow herself was a daughter of Zeus and Hera, making her a Greek goddess herself. However, before they could discover much, Twilight was taken hostage by Hestia, and the rest taken prisoner. Twilight found herself under one of the strongest poisons, carnatium. Hestia tried to marry Zeus and hang Applejack, Pinkie, and Fluttershy, but then she finally came out of her possessed state, revealed to be possessed using carnatium from Hades.

And the trauma didn't take long to settle in for them.

Rarity knew that.

For her, just looking at the color red brought up the memories, which was why she stopped designing dresses with the color.

But something else bothered her too. Something Applejack had revealed just before they left.

How Applejack had known the secret the last ten years.

Rarity could still remember what had happened...

As did Applejack...

"What do you mean, you knew?" Rarity asked.

"I mean, she told me ten years ago and made me swear that I would try and help make it seem that she was like us," Applejack looked down at her feet. She hadn't told anyone that, and even though she knew she would possibly get yelled at (not by Rainbow; she was fine with it), she had to tell someone and get the weight off her chest. She took a deep breath and spilled out what had happened:

"Look, I was only seven when it happened, when she first showed up that day and she seemed like she was trying to tell me something. Next thing I knew, I was hidden away, learning that she had been hiding her identity since she was six, and that she was a goddess. Of course, I didn't believe her, until she started doing things that I knew we weren't capable of. That's when I realized everything I had heard of about how Greek mythology was false and that I was part of that living proof. She made me promise that I would try and keep it a secret, and I have, for ten long years. It wasn't easy, but given the shock on your faces when she unintentionally admitted that she was, in fact, the siblings to Heracles and Ares, making her a goddess, it's safe to say that I did my job pretty well."

Rarity bit the inside of her cheek and looked at the wall, unsure how to process the information.

Of course, Rarity had no idea how many close calls the two had gotten themselves into. There were multiple times where it looked like Rainbow had wanted to finally give up in faking it, and then Applejack had to physically step in and stop it to keep up the charade that she had been human all along.
