Third person POV

Heather was closing the video store for the night after a double shift.

She normally wouldn't work late but do to her mother's unhealthy addiction to lottery tickets and alcohol she now works late ever Saturday and Sunday in the Shadyside mall.

A women in her early forties was paying for the movie she had been looking for. Heather decided to start a conversation breaking the awkward silence.

" 'silent call' nice, that's one of my favorite." She started as she smiled at the women sweetly.

"It's trash." The women replied quickly. Heathers smile instantly dropping. "It's for my step daughter."

Regretting starting the conversation, Heather tells the women her total. "Uhh- that will be $2.60."

The women gave the women the money and walked out. "And have a great night to you to." Heather said, flipping the women off, smiling sarcastically.

Turning off the lights, she starts to close up the store. The phone rings and she says into the phone. "This is B. Dalton's and sorry to say we're closed-" Heather starts getting cut off.

"Since when do you work late on a Sunday night." The male on the other phone said. Heather laughed lightly.

"Well since my mom decided to spend all her money on scratch tickets, instead of paying the gas bill." She heard no reply for a moment.

"Ryan, hello? Ryan you there? Ryan, Ryan, hello? After a minute she hung up the phone, and walked out of the store to find her friend.

After a moment Ryan sneaks up behind Heather taping her shoulder. She jumps in surprise, turning around.

Realizing it's Ryan she pushes his shoulder back. "You asshole you almost gave me a heat attack." She said.

Handing her is drink he says "forgive me?" She takes it and says " I do need a ride tonight." Taking a sip.

Referring to the inflated blow up naked doll float in his arms he reply's with " that's what she said" grabbing her blow up tits.

Making a disgusted face she says "that's disgusting. And yes I do need a ride home tonight. I don't want to walk home alone."

"Fine, just give me and Jasmine here 15 minutes to close up." Holding 'Jasmine' up. Finishing a sip of her drink Heather replies with.

"You gave her a name?"

"Ya, I kinda big tits kinda deflating her ego." Ryan says referring to the small tits on the dummy.

Rolling her eyes she starts to walk away. Ryan turns around, but hears a voice whispering his name.

Thinking it was Heather he turns around saying "what?" She turns around slightly confused replying with.

"I didn't say anything, weirdo." Turning around going back into the store to close up.

Closing the gate, it gets stuck so she try's to push hard but it won't stay. Giving up after one more try she turns around, walking around the store.

Hearing a book drop she goes to pick it up. Putting it back on the shelf she hears someone go past her.

"Hello?"

*thuds* Another book falls and she to pick it up. she then hears liquid spilling. Walking towards the sound she says.

"Okay. Very funny asshole. I'm spooked okay? You win." Walking a little farther she says. "Ryan?"

Looking at the floor, she sees her spilled drink she left on the counter with a trail of blood around it.

Still holding the book, she puts it up to her chest, turning around. A guys in a skull mask is there, try's to stab her in the chest, the book getting it the way.

Heather screams, and takes off running. Crawling under the small opening in the metal gate she try's to escape, but the man grabs her leg just as she's almost out pulling her back under.

She pulls her free foot out the gate, and pushes it against the gate, freeing herself getting up to run.

Running she starts to call for Ryan. "RYAN! RYAN HELP! She screams.

Running into a Halloween looking store. The one that Ryan works in. Running behind the desk, she grabs the phone crouching down, she dials '911'.

Once someone picks up she immediately says. "Hello. I'm in Shadyside mall." She says panicking.

She hears 'skull mask' getting closer and stops talking. The lady on the phone keeps asking if she way still there and that if she didn't answer she would have to disconnect the call.

The man in a skull costume enters the store as she's crawling some bookshelves. Reaching a wall her slowly stands up as continues walking to the entrance staying on the wall.

Turning her head she sees a skull head, she gasps in surprise and horror. Walking to the end of the skull head wall she runs to the exit.

Right after she's off the wall, 'skull mask' walk out of it like it was supposed to be there, and slices the front of her stomach.

She screams, running behind a bookshelf. 'Skull mask' loses track of her and begins looking around the store.

Heather saw one of the blow up dolls right next to her and set up a plan.

'Skull mask' got to where heathers previous hiding spot was and saw a bloody hand print and figure though a beaded closet.

He gets close to the closet, and stabs the knife into the heart to find a blow up doll. Heather comes out of her hiding spot hiring 'skull mask' on the head with a space play gun.

This slows him down giving her enough time to run out calling for help.

She bumps into a table with a dead body in the chair. It's a women who appears to be in her mid 30s, blood everywhere.

She hears footsteps behind her so she looks back. 'Skull mask' was right there, so she looks forward to continue running.

But she's to late. He stabs her in the shoulder, pushing her to the floor. He flips her over and continues to stab her, despite her desperate please he would stop.

She reaches up to try and get her off him, and ends up tearing his mask off.

It's Ryan.

She calls out to him telling her it's him.

Right before her final breath, she sees Ryan get shot in the head by Sheriff Goode.
