Pathetic Scares

Deena and Gina were both sleeping, being tired from dancing around to mucin for hours. Gina was staying over again, not wanting to go back home. Of course Deena didn't mind, as she was her best friend.

Josh, on the other hand, was wide awake and just got a call from there father. So he snuck into his sisters room to wake her up.

Pulling the covers off of the two sleeping girls, they sit up fast ready to attack. When they see it's just josh they relax and let out a breath they didn't know they were holding.

"I'm gonna kill you." Deena said to her brother.

"Yeah? Do it before dad gets here, he's gonna murder you! You know the cops called him at work about some accident last night?" Josh said urgently.

Deena still half asleep just replied with, "Please get out of my room."

"You get out of your room. You two have been in here all day!" Josh said back.

Gina looked to her side to see a small pillow. Picking it up with one hand she through it at the boy. "Get up!" The boy says to them walking out the door.

They both get up, Deena putting on a sweater, and Gina getting dressed. Even if there just at home, she's always dressed up a bit.

She puts on a blue sweater with some wording on it, a white shirt underneath to make to little flaps at the top. Some light wash mom jeans, and to tie it all off a while headband.

Both walking out of the room, they hear the tv on giving more updates on the tragic mall massacre.

"I'm here with Martin P. Franklin, Shadyside
Mall janitor. Martin, what do you know? A female reporter asks.

"He was a normal dude. Always thought he would, like, just go home and read a comic book or whatever. He was chill, just snapped I guess."

The two teenagers now fully in the living room start to pick up beer cans to throw away before Mr. Johnson gets home.

Hearing the news they turn to watch the tv for a moment. "A baffling development, as mall employee Ryan Torres has been identified as the killer. A recent graduate of Shadyside High, and ordinary guy who, as those who knew him attest, just seemed to snap."

Hearing enough off the shocking news, that someone they all new killed his best friend, Gina turns the tv off.

Deena was back in her room, Gina in the kitchen eating cereal, was calling the hospital. "Hi. Uh, Samantha Fraser's room, please?"

The door bell rings and she yells for josh to get it, as she knows Gina is to lazy to do it. "Josh! Get the door!"

Although Deena was yelling to him, he couldn't hear due to the loud music, and being focused on his video game, down in the basement.

Back up stares a women who's not Sam answers Sams room phone. "Hello?"

"Uh... Hi, uh, Mrs. Fraser. I'm sorry. Uh, Miss... Ms..." The door rings again. "Hi, um..."
Giving up on guessing Sam's moms new last name, she gets to the point. "Is Sam there? I just... I wanted to see how she was doing."

Realizing the girls voice she says, "Deena?"

"Yeah. Hi. I was just w...worried about her and—" She starts but gets cut off. "You won't stop until you've ruined her life completely, will you?" Says A angry Ms. Fraser. "She's fine. Don't call here again." Then the line goes dead.

The door bell now starts to ring repeatedly. "Josh!" Deena yells once again. Deena sick and tired of her brother not answering goes to open the door.

On her way there she sees Gina passed out on the couch. Which is probably a good thing. She turns into the devil himself if she doesn't get her beauty sleep.

Opening the door she's met with an empty screen porch. "Hello?" Stepping out of the porch onto the stairs, she looks into the street to see a guy dressed in a skull mask costume.

Assuming it's Peter due to what her told Deena, which she shared that part with her said, "Oh, hey, Peter! See you got the full costume now!" She yells at the boy before going back inside.

Walking to the kitchen see meets Josh there waiting for her. "Hey. Pizza ready?" He asks hungry.

"Oh, that ringing you heard." She says frustrated that he hears the bell for what he thought the pizza was, but not the other hundred.

Walking past him she goes into the kitchen fully. "I have priorities." Josh says trying to defend himself.

"Jeez."

The buzzer for the pizza rings so he takes it out, but stupidly besides not to use oven mitts, burning his hands. "Shit! Hot, hot, hot!"

By this point Gina has woken up from the pizza smell so she comes into the kitchen unknowingly to Deena.

Deena thinks she sees something it the window so she goes closer to look through. When she looks out she's met with Peter in the same costume, but this time holding a knife.

Gina taps on Deena's shoulder making her jump. "Hey!" She says putting her hands up in serenader. "Didn't mean to scare you. What are you looking at?"

"That Sunnyvale prick." She says walking away from the window. She grabs a knife from the counter just in case, and walks outside.

Josh and Gina take the chance to see what she was looking at. "Holy shit!" They both whisper at the same time.

When Deena reaches outside, he's not there anymore. "You're  pathetic!" She yells into the air.

Going back inside, she slams the door. Skull mask now takes this chance to get out from behind the tree he was hiding behind, and get out of there.

A/N

I was going to add the babysitting scene with Kate and Simon here, but it's 4am and I'm tired. I don't wake up till around 3pm, sooo I'm not gonna keep you waiting and add a short chapter off just babysitting, or a long chapter with the hospital scene.

Also I decided to make Joan the 'love interest' in 78'.

Basically just hookups, cause Ruby is still are girl, but ya.

Also sorry for not much Gina in this chapter. It was mostly a filler? Idk if I can call it that since it was in the movie but
    night/morning/whatever
