Shadyside Bus

Deena was just now arriving on the bus to take them to the ceremony. The bus was screaming load from the constant chatter and cheering.

As she was walking to the back of the bus, she was getting questions like 'didn't you quit' and 'why are you even here' though just ignored them all.

She went to the back of the bus and sat down. While listening to music, she took out her old drum sticks and started playing on the back of the seat in front of her.

A couple seats ahead, Kate and Gina were sitting, with Simon the seat across them.

Gina and Kate were both in there cheer uniforms. Gina has been in cheer every year since she's been in high school. So, along time.

Even after all this time, she's still stuck in Shadyside. The most she's gotten out was in 1967, on vacation. Also the last year she was with her parents.

Finally crossing the border that separates Shadyside and Sunnyvale, there almost at the school.

Driving past all the rich ass houses they arrived at the Sunnyvale football field.

After getting of the bus, they were all instructed to crowd around a podium, with the mayor of Sunnyvale stands.

Finally speaking after what felt like waiting forever, the mayor starts. "This isn't how I wanted to be here tonight. I wanted to be here as a fan. Our Sunnyvale Devils and your Shadyside Witches throwing down some good old American football."

Pausing for a second, he continues. "Instead I find myself here as a husband, a father, as a neighbor. And, yes, mayor of Sunnyvale."

While this was happening, Deena starts to carefully back up to spy on Sam, and her new 'boyfriend' Peter.

"And on behalf of all the people in my town, I say all of Sunnyvale mourns with you." The mayor says.

Kate says looking over to the Sunnyvalers. "Yeah. Really looks like they give a damn." She says in a sarcastic voice, as they all just looked bored and ready to either play ball, cheer, or go home.

Gina supporting with joins by saying. "The only ones who came were the one that had to. The football team and the cheerleaders.

As the three we're looking over they see Peter wrap his arm around Sam, giving her a light kiss on the head.

Seeing this mad Deena fill up with not only  sadness, but also rage. Seeing someone else touch her girl.

The mayor still doing his speech continues. "Our hearts are broken with grief."

Having enough with seeing Sam with another dude, she made her way behind the school building.

Taking her band hat off, she slowly slides down the wall wile looking at it blankly. Putting it to the slide, she picks up the box off Sams things.

Spreading her legs, she puts the box down and opens it. Putting the lid on the side.

Picking up a cassette, she looks at the handmade cover, having flashbacks of Sam and Peter.
