"We need to suss out who did it." Luke was biting on his lip, deep in thought and scratching the 3 day old stubble, he kept saying it was a beard, but he's lying to himself.

"Whodunit." I corrected him, earning a glare.

"Whatever, maybe we could ask around a bit more? I really don't know who would have killed her." Luke said, slurping up the milk from his cereal.

"Okay." I took one last bite of toast (we finally bought a toaster) and stood up to get dressed, leaving Luke a little confused, to say the least.

"What are you doing?" He dropped his spoon into the bowl, splashing milk onto his shirt, which he was quite miffed about.

"Well you wanna ask around, let's ask." I shrugged and headed into my room.

When I was finally ready (Luke kept knocking at my door telling me to hurry up, which delayed the process) Luke was panicking.

"What about our classes? We still have those you know." Luke folded his arms and frowned down at me.

"Never heard of taking a 'sick day'?" I asked, Luke's mouth dropped open and his hands grabbed onto my shoulders.

"No! Ky, we can't do that! Well, you can but I can't! My mom would kill me!" Luke exclaimed, shaking me slightly with every word.

"Your mom's never gonna find out, and if she does, blame me. We went on Monday so it doesn't matter too much." I laughed and headed out of our apartment, Luke trailed hesitantly behind me, debating if he should actually follow me or not.

"But aren't people gonna have classes? What's the point in skipping if there's nobody around to ask?" Luke had worry in his voice and on his forehead, he was gonna look old before his time if he kept up all the worry.

"Luckily for you, I know somebody who doesn't have a class today." Luke frowned again as I took him across the hall, and knocked on the door opposite us.

"Ashton?"

"Michael, dummy." I rolled my eyes and knocked, Ashton came out about 5 minutes later looking confused and hot, and tired but still hot.

"Kyle and Luke." He stated, he gave us the same expression that Luke gave me only minutes before. Why were all these boys so dazed and puzzled?

"That's us. Is Michael in? We need to talk to him." Luke said quickly and pushed past Ashton. I followed his lead but Ashton pulled me back by my waist.

"What's going on?" He smiled softly, rubbing his eyes. I wondered if he actually got any sleep before we turned up.

"We wanna talk to Michael about Mia and stuff. Why aren't you ready for class?"

"I feel like shit, I wasn't gonna go in." Ashton said blankly.

"Oh, it's a bit suspicious if both of us aren't there. Maybe I should go." We had Carter today and guarantee he'd suspect something if neither me nor Ashton was there.

"No! We're doing spy stuff! You can't leave." Luke begged.

"I'm sure you two can handle Michael, but if he starts getting irritated and acts like he's hiding something, text me." The two boys nodded slowly and I left Ashton's and quickly headed back to my apartment to get the stuff I didn't think I'd need and headed out of the building and off to my first class.

My day was pretty lonely without Ashton constantly holding my hand and giggling in my ear about absolutely nothing. The classes were much less entertaining without his sense of humour, although it allowed me to actually do some work. As I was on my way to my creative writing class I was stopped by a guy with bright blonde hair.
