Eric's P.O.V

I had (almost) never been more happy. In the beginning I was scared that she would be mad at me. But just as happy as me. But I guessed we had a lot to catch up with.

She had changed a little since I last saw her. Her hair was longer, her eyes was more hazel and of course she was taller. She was only a little smaller than Nell.

I wondered what her personality was like. Did she have a fiery temper? Was she impatient? Did she have a high IQ? Was she good at hacking? I had so many questions about Ellie.

I couldn't stop feeling guilty. But I was sure that with time I would forget the guilt. Time. It reminded me what was I going to do? Should I become her guardian?
My thoughts were stopped when Ellie said: "So who is the lovely redhead, and how long have you been together?" She asked. She looked really excited. Like it was the newest celebrity gossip.
"Her name is Nell. And we have been for 3 days now". I answered her. "Only 3 days. How long have you been dating?" She asked me. "We haven't really been dating." I answered. "So you just walked up to a complete stranger and said 'will you be my girlfriend?' Or what?" She kind of looked confused. Se cocked her head and looked at me. She looked quite adorable this way. Like a little puppy.

Nell walked into the room, together with Hetty. "Mr. Beale, can i talk to you, under two eyes?" She looked at Nell and Ellie. They both left the room.

"Why?" I asked Hetty. I wanted to know why she brought my little sister here. Part of me was grateful, but a little part of me was mad at her for bringing Ellie here. What if couldn't take custody of her? Then all of her hope would be crushed and broken. "I owed you." She said. "What?" I asked her. "Eric i feel like i owe you, it's my fault that this happened to you." She admitted "I'm very sorry" she continued. "It's not your fault." I said to the little woman. "Yes it is, I put you in danger" she said.
I sighed.
"No one should be alone, mr. Beale. It's good for both you, ms. Jones and Ellie. You are a family now." She smiled at me. "Wait, what? A family?" I was scared. The whole family thing had never worked out for me. What if I screwed up? What if I broke Nell's heart? 'You can do this Eric' A little voice in my head said. In the beginning it was only a whisper. But then confidence hit me: I'm going to be a wonderful boyfriend and brother! I could do this!

After my wave of confidence I stated thinking
"But Hetty, you are alone?" I said. But it was more of a question than a statement. "No Eric, I'm not. I have you, Nell, Kensi, Deeks, Sam and Callen. I'm not alone at all. I have 6 children. And now I have a granddaughter too." She smiled at me.

She stood up and walked over to the door. "Ellinor!" She called. After a few seconds Ellie appeared at the door. Hetty said: "I have to go now." Hetty hugged Ellie. Hetty whispered something in her, but I couldn't hear what she said. Ellie smiled at Hetty. "Thank you for everything" Ellie said to Hetty. Ellie waved at Hetty. Hetty waved at me, Nell and Ellie.

Part of me felt like I was saying goodbye to my mother and that I was going on an adventure...
