Ellie's P.O.V.

I looked at the little folded piece of paper in my hand. A few tears rolled down my cheeks. Nell had asked what was wrong. I couldn't tell her. It hurt too much. The last time someone did that they broke my heart. I remember it as if it were yesterday. Henry from my class had given me a little folded note. It read: meet me at the willow tree.
I was surprised. No body ever liked me. I was the foster kid

***flashback start***
I walked out on the field. It was a warm autumn day. The wind was blowing in my hair. I was sitting in front of the willow tree. I was playing with the grass beneath me. I laid down on the hard ground. I closed my eyes and listened to the birds chirping. Before I knew it fell asleep.

"Ellie!" Someone was lightly shaking me. I opened my eyes. Henry was standing in front of me. "Sleepyhead!" He said as he laughed. I blushed. But soon I laughed too. "Why did you want me to meet you here?" I asked. "I wanted to talk to you" He said as he sat down beside me. "Well, then talk." I said to him. "Um... I... Wa- wanted to say that, um I kind like you. I stared into his green eyes. "I like you too." I said. And without thinking I leaned up and kissed him.

I stood up and started walking towards the road. What had I done?!
I ran towards the road. I just kept running. All thoughts disappeared from my mind. I ran out on the road. Suddenly I heard car hunk and I was blinded by two headlights. I heard someone yell: "ELLIE!!!!!" My hole body collided with the ground.
At first I couldn't feel anything. I couldn't see anything or hear anything either.
Then it hit me. Pain shot though my body. But less than I expected. I opened my eyes and lifted my head a little. Henry was lying in the middle of the road. He was covered in blood. I wanted scream his name, but no words would come out.
***flashback end***

I opened my hand, and took out the little piece of paper. I unfolded the paper. On it was 8 digits. It was a phone number. While I was considering whether to ever call him or forget about him, I felt someone's arm around my neck. The arm strangled me. I wanted to scream but I couldn't breathe. I looked at Nell. A tall man with brown hair and brown eyes, was holding a cloth in front of her mouth. I could see that she struggled to get out of his grip. But it wasn't helping.

We were doomed...
