i woke up to my alarm clock blaring an annoying noise at me. i rolled over on my side and hit snooze. i was dreading today, i had to go to camp. don't get me wrong i love camp nightwing but now that i'm a counselor it's different. i'll have to do work and not be able to go in the lake or do arts in caft without having to watch kids, honestly my mother is making me do this but at least i have alice there for keep me from going insane with all those kids. i heard a knock on my door.

my mother came in, "y/n it's time to get up and pack your bags, we are going to leave in about an hour."

"yeah alright" i responded still half asleep.

i got out of bed at 6 and started to pack. i packed everything i needed for my clothes. along with a toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, deodorant exc. i made my bed and shoved everything into a back pack and headed down stairs.

when i entered the living room i saw my father sitting on the couch watching tv per usual. i don't have a very good relationship with my father but i don't like to talk about it.

"morning" i said as i passed him.

"excited for camp?" he replied.

"yea totally" i said completely faking it. so im not completely honest with my parents what's the big deal? the phone started to ring as i entered the kitchen.

"i got it" i said as me and my mother both reached for the phone. i picked up the phone, "hello?".

"hey y/n, r u ready for the best summer ever?" alice said into the phone.

"yea but only when we aren't watching kids" i said quietly into the phone so my parents wouldn't hear.

"that's good also i got some weed but obviously joan will have a shit ton" alice said exaggerating.

"at least something will keep me from being bored" i said happily. "listen i gotta go sorry"

"alright see your soon" she said as i hung up the phone.

i walked over to the kitchen counter and grabbed a bowl out of the cabinet and got the milk from the fridge. i'm made my cereal and sat down at the kitchen table. my mom came into the room.

"we will leave in like 15 ok?" she asked me as i was stuffing my face with food.

i wiped the milk of my chin and nodded. once i was done with my cereal i rinsed my dishes and left it in the sink. then i ran up the stairs and grabbed my bag and sneakers and walked into my older sisters room and woke her up.

"hey listen i'm really sorry to bother u but i need some weed everyone's bringing some and i don't wanna be the only one. can i have some?" i asked. normally when she's pretty much asleep she will give me what ever i want.

"yea under the floor board by my chair" she said half asleep. i walked over to the soft green chair moved it, and lifted up the board. i opened it and there was a shit ton. my sister trusts me so i only took enough for 1 night for the group.

"thanks kenzie your a life saver" i said leaving her room. i shoved the weed in my bag and ran down the stairs.

"mom i'm ready, i'll be in the car" i said walking out the door. i was told to drive to camp bc we needed to learn a bunch of rules and things before the campers arrived.

my mom opened the car door and started the car. we backed out of the drive way and started down the road. was i worried about camp? yes but at least i got my friends. it was about 10 minutes from shady side before we got to the road the camp was on. i got my bag all ready and i saw the sign 'camp nightwing'.

"have a great time y/n your gonna do great i'm so proud of you!" my mom said as i got out of the car.

"thanks mom, i'll see u in 3 weeks" i said shutting the door. i started to head to the mess hall where we were supposed to meet. i got closer and i saw alice and arnie, next to them was joan. i started walking closer and joan ran up to me.

"y/n! thank god your here! i can already tell this is gonna be a great summer!" joan said so excited.

"yup can't wait" i said walking with her to the mess hall. i hope this goes well.
