TW: DRUG USE

Shall we dance, Mr Malik?

I'll show you mine if you show me yours.

Everybody has a weakness, this much is true, but who would have thought that all along, your weakness was your own mind. You can't escape it can you? You consistently feel suffocated by what you claim to be the mistakes of your past, however answer me this Zayn, mistakes are only meant to be made a handful of times, at the most. You however; mistakes are your very own personality trait.

I believe in the art of deceit, it's my specialty after all, but you sir, are an armature.

You trusted fully in someone who only have you half of themselves and that there, was your mistake. That is where you are a constant battle with your own mind because it tells you to do these things, or so that is your excuse, but you now live in fear, fear of what Liam knows, knowledge that he so willingly shared with me on the very basis that I wanted to destroy you.

So Zayn, let's discuss Hanna.

Skeltons in the closet, we all have them. As we wander through life we continuously pick up baggage, I understand that. I truely do.

However; this baggage was brought into your life, you didn't pick it up along the way; you willingly and knowingly, accepted it. You sort after it.

Daddy dearest remarried, we all know the story; she was the trophy he needed when his success begun to flourish, but she had a daughter. Although biologically unrelated, in all sense of the word, she was family, and you fell in love.

Hanna.

The beautiful, smart, kind hearted Hanna.

You didn't deserve her either Zayn. Why is it you constantly feel like you needed to reach for items that were so far out of your grasp. Is that what daddy taught you? Or did you need the status?

You fell hopelessly in love with a woman who never wanted you and that made you mad. Of course, I understand that. It's infuriating when what we desire so badly can never be ours. I know the frustrations all to well.

But she was family.

She hurt you so badly that you needed her to pay, but you are no killer. That I admire.

Wish I had it in me to retreat.

But no, you took another road and paired up with your buddies up north, the kind who dealt with the illegal and desired.

The voices in your head wouldn't let off, so you decided to place a few in hers instead.

Nasty stuff.

You're lucky you didn't kill her. The mixing of powders and pills can be a death sentence.

But what really topped it off was when you introduced a homely product into the mix, something so innocent yet drove her to complete insanity.

Bath salts.

Bath salts are new, and creative, I'll give you that, but wow Zayn. They contain a chemical in them called synthetic cathinone. Illegal, nasty stuff when sold individually, but mixed in such an innocent form. The devil himself would be impressed.

Bath salts can cause panic attacks, paranoia, hallucinations, violence, and suicidal behavior.

Exactly what you wanted, right?

Hanna slowly drove herself to insanity and you were successful, the voices in her mind took control of her body and you were able to paint a picture in front of your father. One that took the shining spotlight away from the girl you so desperately wanted.

For years, you had your father and step mother convinced that Hanna was a loose cannon, that she was headed for dark places and was slowly becoming a lost cause. Years, you thought you'd gotten away with it, no one would believe the accusations of someone who talks to walls and visualises pixies and death eaters every other day.

But, you didn't take into account how strong her mind was before you thought you destroyed it. She was sent to rehab and let's just say, she was an A+ student. An overachiever, if you will.

And this was around the same time, you met my boy, and you started to get a little, frazzled.

That's where Liam comes in; Liam was your supportive partner who came with you on your many trips to visit Hanna in the hospital, your threats were unforgiving and she could sense you were close to breaking point.

Karma, she's a beautiful bitch.

Liam, who fondly enough, is studying brain analysis, psychology and trauma rehabilitation, volunteers at the station in which dear old Hanna is located, this you are unaware of right now. But don't worry Zayn, I won't keep you in the dark much longer.

Hanna is his favourite patient and the two, over the last few years, have made some great progress, but of course, they have so much in common, oh with how much they both hate you and all. It's really a bad combination in the best situation, I could ever have come up with.

As far as you're concerned, Liam misses you; he hated what happened between the two of you and wishes he could have done more to fix it. And you miss him too, but you're so worried about being hurt again; that you don't know if you can take the risk.

No; we all know you're terrified to actually let Liam going with everything he has on you, so you keep the strong just there slightly.

Smart.

You're playing each other, what a twisted game that is.

My kind of people.

But I'm getting off track and I need to stay focused, I'm terrible at staying concentrated when I'm so amused by the entire situation, this feeling is better than Christmas morning.

And my focus for today, is a visitation pass, a little holiday if you will.

Walking around this place, is actually beautiful, something out of one of the many books our friend Harry loves to read. The paths are lined with florals of the autumn time and the grass is cut perfectly to an inch high.

The small placements of table and chairs opt for a more small town Italy feel and the swaying of the trees in the background is just beautiful. I can hear the birds singing peacefully from all areas of this place.

Who wouldn't want to come here?

As I enter the main building I follow the strip of white tiled walls around every corner I was instructed until I fall upon my destination.

"Hello Hanna, it's so lovely to finally meet you"
