It was the day of the trip and Harley was more excited than a kid on Christmas because Peter.

It took every ounce of strength in him to not spill the beans to Peter over FaceTime last night, but he managed because he was planning to surprise Peter somehow when he arrived.

It had only occurred to Harley this morning that Peter likely knew already about the trip, but quickly ruled out that option, he would have said something, right?

{Time skip in honor of Zendaya 😎}

*In the plane*

The flight to NYC was only about 2 hours, so Harley decided to watch a good ole cartoon. He settled on Wallace and Gromit: the Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005), and pressed play.

Just as the end credits started rolling, a Captain's announcement came on over the speakers: they had arrived.

{In the taxi}

We were almost there, I could tell that the building was about five Spider-Man swings away (from when Peter would take me swinging through the city), and I estimated this to be about half a mile.

Before I knew it, Stark Industries was towering over me. (Get it? XDXD)

Peter POV.

My dad told me today that I was covering for a tour guide in a few hours. I wasn't all that keen to be honest, because I really wanted to work on my new suit, but I agreed because he looked like he was hiding something.

The time soon came for me to intervene half-way through the tour to relieve for the guide, so I headed down to floor 6.

Harley POV.

We entered the building and scanned our Level 1 badges that we had just been given (my internship badge was disabled after the summer), and FRIDAY's robotic voice echoed around the lobby. "Luke Castellan, Level 1, minimal access," the AI said.

The tour guide, Annabeth, quickly explained all about FRIDAY because she had frightened some of the students.

When it was my turn, I scanned the white badge and FRIDAY spoke in a much more human and friendly voice, "Harley Keener, Level 1, minimal access. Welcome back, Harley; shall I inform the Miniboss of your arrival?"

I was secretly very happy, and rather touched that she remembered me, but I just grinned and told her, "No thanks, Fri, I'm going to surprise him."

None of my class was particularly surprised that the AI knew me, as it was common knowledge about my internship; although most of them were trying to figure out who 'Miniboss' is.

{Time skip bc this is dragging out rly long}

Annabeth announced about halfway through the tour that she unfortunately had a prior engagement, and the guides would be switching. She walked away as the elevator dinged, muttering something about 'brains of seaweed'.

I watched her go until I felt a nudge, and turned to Sam, who had just elbowed me. "What?" I asked, puzzled. She raised a shaking hand and pointed towards the open elevator doors where the new tour guide was stepping out. Her eyes were wide and she had disbelief written on all her features.

My heart skipped a beat.

It was Peter.

My Peter.

I wasn't thinking, but my legs began running towards him, and naturally my body had little choice but to follow.

He caught my eye, and grinned wider than I knew was possible.

He started forward and soon we were embracing in the middle of a science room, not caring about the fifty odd people staring at us.

All I could think was 'I missed you' and immediately Peter was voicing my own thoughts by whispering it in my ear.

I pulled back from the hug and nodded at him, since no words were able to leave my throat, and then we kissed.

It was everything I had been missing for more than two months, and I had almost forgotten how good it felt just to hold Peter, but everything came flooding back the minute our lips connected.

It seemed like an eternity before we broke apart, but it must have only been a few seconds.

My entire class was staring at us, and out of the corner of my eye I saw Luke and Jayden hand Samantha $20 each, with her smirking like she knew all along.
