it was a good idea to visit Akane few minutes before sundown, the sky was ethereal, the weather felt perfect. you smiled to yourself, sighing since you felt like you were in a good mood.

"If only you were here Akane.." you whispered to yourself, looking at the setting sun. "Bye-bye" you muttered

"Inui-san?" hearing your family name and a familiar voice, you turned around to be met with the young man you met yesterday

"Ah, Kokonoi-san" you smiled at him, waving your hand as a greeting. he smiled back, while you stared at his eyes, it was really captivating

"Your eyes are beautiful" you unconsciously said, before covering your mouth once you realized

"I apologize-" you quickly said, only to be answered by a chuckle. you look at kokonoi to see that he was giving you an amused grin

"It's perfectly fine, Inui-san. Thank you for the compliment" you sigh in relief, placing your hand on your chest while doing so

"That's a relief then, may I ask what you're doing here?" you looked at him, with a questioning look.

"I was just passing by and I happen to see you, so I decided to greet you" he answered, you only nodded your head

"Would you like to visit our house then? Seishu is there too" you offered, smiling again at the boy

"I would love to but I still have some other stuff to do" he looked away, placing his hand on his nape. then shyly asked

"...may I ask for your number Inui-san?" you looked at kokonoi for a few seconds, wondering why he was asking for your number. as if he could read your mind, he spoke again

"I just wanted to get to know you better, if you can't it's fine I understand" kokonoi gave you a small smile, something felt off but you decided to give him your number anyways

"Give me your phone, I'll type it in" you smiled back at him, he handed you his phone. you went to contacts and saved your number on his log as 'Inui (y/n)'

"there you go, just message me whenever you'd like. I don't guarantee that I would reply immediately though" you chuckled, he then smiles at you.

"thank you, inui-san" he bowed, then gave you a smile again. he was smiling so much that it felt off to you but you just shrugged it away, what could go wrong with this anyways?

"well then, I'll get going. Bye-bye" you grinned at him, waving your hand again before walking towards your house once again.

"...bye-bye." kokonoi whispered, 'Akane used to say that' he thought, it was no secret. it's very obvious to whoever knows that he liked Akane that he was going to pretend that (y/n) was Akane.

it'll definitely hurt her once she finds out, who knows what inui might do when he finds out, but he was doing it to be happy. he wanted to spoil her with his riches even though she wasn't Akane, she isn't Akane but she's the only one who's closest to her.

kokonoi felt bad, he was using her. seeing (y/n) smile, Akane always comes to his mind. they don't have the exact same smile but it's similar, they looked exactly the same yet different. that's just how twins are.

you looked at the small tattoo on your collarbone, you still haven't found your soulmate for the past 15 years you've lived.

"I wonder if you've found your soul mate Akane" you spoke to no one once again. it's been a normal thing for you to do ever since your sister died, believing that she's there to listen to you.

you've already had a lover before, but you had to break up because of you having to go abroad. although he wasn't your soul mate, you loved him like he was.

"hm, I wonder how he's doing now" you kept talking to yourself, speaking your thoughts out.
"how have you been, takashi?" you smiled to yourself, you still loved him of course even after 5 years.

"do you still love me too?" you now frowned, you didn't want to break up with him but you had to. it still pained you until now, you wanted to talk to him again but you just decided not to.

"if we're meant to be, fate will let us meet each other again" you chuckled to yourself, sighing before closing the lights. getting ready to sleep, kokonoi's face flashing for a split second in her brain once she thought about the word soul mate again. it went away so fast that she didn't even notice, slowly drifting to sleep.
