"please don't leave me.."

"let's go to our usual dating spot?" kokonoi smiled sweetly, used to him asking for dates you just agreed

"of course, let's go?" you gave him a smile back, getting inside his car once the both of you exited the house.

"anything special going to happen today? you seem more.. cheerful" you asked, looking at your boyfriend who seemed excited for something.

"it's a surprise, princess. wait for it" kokonoi replied to your question, still having that expression on.

".. but I want to know now" being quite the curious person you are, you let out a sigh.

"don't be impatient, we're here already" kokonoi just chuckled, seeing your expression. the both of you got off the car, walking to your usual spot.

"I brought some food with us, let's have a small picnic and chat to pass by time" kokonoi muttered, taking out a basket.

"when did you prepare this? I could've helped you with it" furrowing your eyebrows slightly, you looked at the neatly prepared food infront of you.

"I wanted to do things by myself for once, it was difficult but I'll do anything for you" smiling, kokonoi then offered for you to take a bite.

".. it's good" you covered your mouth, suprised that he could make something like that

"why are you saying that like it's suprising for me to make food this good?" kokonoi playfully frowned-

"because it is—kidding" you spoke again once you finished chewing, laughing right after. kokonoi just looked at you in disbelief.

"I'm joking I'm sorry" quickly apologizing, you gave kokonoi a kiss on the cheek which made him freeze in his place. he definitely didn't expect that

"it's fine.. don't even worry about it"

after a few minutes, you started talking about how work was. rambling and rambling, while kokonoi just listened intently. staring at you while you kept on ranting, finding your furious face adorable.

"well, enough about me. how about you? you got anything to tell me?" you smiled, now looking at kokonoi

"hm.. yes actually" he started, sitting properly.

"(y/n), I want to spend my whole remaining life with you. I want to create a family with you, I want to see you everytime I wake up in the morning.. and most importantly, I want to marry you" shocked, your eyes widened. cheeks growing red-

"inui (y/n), will you marry me?" kokonoi took out a ring box, once he opened the cover it revealed a simple ring. it looked simple yet expensive

you were still shocked, your hand then going to your mouth once again. feeling teats build up in the corners of your eyes, breathing in before speaking

".. yes, yes I'll marry you" nodding, your tears finally fell from your eyes. kokonoi was shocked, happy, overjoyed— he then placed the ring on your ring finger, before engulfing you in a hug.

"I love you" he whispered in your ear, hugging you tightly. hugging him back, you buried your face on his shoulder.

"I love you too.." you whispered back, before pulling him in for a kiss, in which he returned. after a few seconds, the both of you pulled away-

"we've got to tell this to seishu!" you exclaimed, pulling on kokonoi's arm so both of you could board the car.

"he knows about it already, I asked him for advice a few days ago" kokonoi chuckled, letting himself get pulled by you.
