your work drastically increased in a day, since kisaki has tons of meetings everyday half of his work was passed on to you. quite glad that it was saturday tomorrow because it means a break from work, you missed hanging out with kokonoi the whole day and just have fun.

"just a few more" you sigh, seeing that it was already dark outside. massaging your temples you continued on with your work, after a few minutes you received a call

"hello?" you spoke, clicking on the speaker button so you wouldn't have to hold it

"nee-chan, are you going home late today?" you nodded like he was right in front of you, "I'm afraid I am, seishu. don't wait for me, I have my own keys so you can lock the doors too"

"alright, I'll leave some food on the table for you. don't come home too late, bye" you bid him a goodbye before ending the call.

finally finishing all of your work, you placed all of the documents on the table properly before going out of the building. checking the time, you were convinced that kokonoi already went home. reaching the exit, you were surprised to spot the dark-haired boy leaning on his car

"took you long enough, come on. I'm sure you're tired" kokonoi smiled at you

"you waited for--atleast 2 hours?" you went closer to him, still surprised

"yeah, it's just two hours I can wait even longer just for you" what he said made you smile, he took your bags and placed them on the backseat

"come on, let's take you home" kokonoi once again smiled at you, seeing his smile really made your heart flutter-

you got in his car, getting comfortable. you sigh, closing your eyes to rest for a few minutes which eventually made you fall asleep.

kokonoi glanced at you, seeing you sleeping soundly. he smiled, admiring how pretty you looked even while sleeping. sneakily, he quickly snapped a picture of you before focusing his eyes on the road again.

upon reaching your house, kokonoi noticed that you were still asleep. staring at you, he was thinking if he should call inui so he could know that you were already there. while thinking, his eyes went to your lips-- he looked at it for a few seconds before looking away.

'even though I want to, I need her permission. I don't want to do the same thing I did in the past' kokonoi thought to himself, before deciding to just carry you and your bags to the door.

doing what he decided to, he pressed the doorbell so inui can open the door for him. After a minute of waiting, inui finally opened the door

"is she that tired?" inui frowned, not liking the thought of you overworking yourself.

"yeah, she fell asleep once she closed her eyes. where's her room?" kokonoi asked the younger sibling, while he only pointed at the door closest to the kitchen. kokonoi thanked him before walking to your room, laying you down on the bed and dropping your bags on the chair.

his eyes went to one of the photographs on your table, seeing himself. he smiled, glad that you kept his picture where you can see it easily. he kept your picture in his wallet, since he does open it often. kokonoi glanced at you one more time before going out

"you didn't try to do anything, did you?" inui asked the other boy, while kokonoi nodded "I didn't, one thing I can promise is that I won't do anything without her permission" those were the last words he said before he decided to go home, closing the door behind him after he went out.

saturday, rest day, the best day in the week. that's how you think of it, you sat down on the couch with kokonoi to watch a horror movie. you called him over because seishu still has work during saturdays, placing some snacks on the coffee table you played the movie

watching intently, you were anticipating on what was going to happen next. a sudden jumpscare showed on the screen which made you jump and hold onto kokonoi's arm (if you don't get scared with jumpscares, you do now for the sake of the plot)

"didn't know you'd get scared that easily" kokonoi teased, looking at you who has holding onto his arm so tightly that he couldn't feel his arm anymore

"shut up, it suddenly appeared" You jokingly glared at him before watching again, not letting go of his arm. your grip loosened a bit so he wouldn't feel uncomfortable

'we should watch horror movies more often' kokonoi thought, glancing at you every now and then smiling to himself

after a few more jumpscares, the movie finally ended. you sigh before taking the plates and glasses both of you used, washing them at the sink

"(y/n)-san, do you want to go to the cherry blossom park after you finish with that?" kokonoi asked, leaning on his palm while watching you wash the dishes

"yeah sure, I'll just change" you smiled at him, drying your hands after you finished with the dishes going straight to your room. After changing your clothes, you quickly went back to him and nodded to tell him that you were ready.

the both of you just decided to walk since it was near by, enjoying the fresh breeze you smiled.

"how refreshing" you muttered, while kokonoi only smiled at you. he kept his eyes on you, admiring how happy you looked at the moment. it's making him more nervous every step closer the both of take towards the park

upon reaching the park, you take in a deep breath.

"(y/n)-san, this might sound sudden but.." hearing him speak, you turned around to listen to what he was about to say

kokonoi took a deep breath before speaking again

"..i like you, I like you so much that wren ever I'm with you my heartbeat quickens. I want to be by your side always, I want to protect you with all my being, I want to buy you all the stuff that you need--I just want to be with you" with his sudden confession, you looked at him with a shocked expression

"(y/n)-san, will you be my girlfriend?" kokonoi shyly asked, handing you a small box

"kokonoi-san...of course I'll be your girlfriend" you smiled brightly before hugging him, happy that he confessed

in shock and in happiness, kokonoi hugged you back tightly before lifting you up and spinning you around, stopping after a few seconds

"I can't believe you said yes" kokonoi smiled brightly at you

"you're acting like you proposed to me" you laugh, finding his reaction adorable. remembering the box, you opened it revealing a small pendant of a bird which looked like a lovebird

"I have the other one" kokonoi kept smiling, showing you his necklace that was in his pocket

"how sweet of you.." you muttered, wearing the necklace which made kokonoi wear his too

".. (y/n)-san, can I kiss you?" looking at him like he grew two heads, you replied "of course you can"

and with that, he pulled you in for a kiss. connecting your lips with his, it felt perfect like the both of you were made for each other. kissing under the cherry blosson tree with falling petals really felt magical, feeling your hearts beat faster and faster.

once again unknown to them, their tattoo's were shining so bright. glad that the two soulmates finally got together, when will they know about it though?
