Chapter 6- FaceTime Calls & Goodnight Texts

October 6th- 2017

Its almost been two weeks since I left Texas and I'm back here in Tallahassee my hometown. I begged to stay at dorm to at least get some privacy from my parents.
I miss Texas and Conan more and more everyday. Now that Im in college against my will I'm always so busy and I feel bad being that it feels like I'm pushing Conan away.

Pretty soon we'll never talk then we'll both forget we exist and my anxious thoughts are cut abruptly by my phone ringing. I check and see it's rae who's still back I'm Texas (lucky.) Hey rae what's up I ask seemingly stressed out? "Hey you ok you sound sad"? I just... I don't wanna be here I wanna be back in Texas where I was happy and where you are and... "And Conan... you miss him don't you"? Of course I do. He was my first friend there besides you and he's one of the only people I could feel I could get close to and not risk getting hurt.

We only knew each other for a few months but I don't know rae I sigh heavily trying to compose myself once again. "Why don't you visit him your parents wouldn't know would they"? I can't they vist too often I say rolling my eyes. "Try FaceTimimg him then". "You guys haven't tried it yet she says with a chuckle"? I've been too busy I say sadly.

"You can never be too busy for friends you miss... I mean we're talking right now so give me another exsuse wyd". Alright I'm scared he's already forgotten about me and doesn't care if I come back or not I blurt out. "Oh come on it's barely been two weeks go call him now", but rae I- "no buts go call him she says before hanging up on me".

I put my phone down and clean myself up a bit being that I've been in bed with school work all week. After I dear my bed off I go to Conans number and text him if he was up still since it was going on 11:30. He texts back a few minutes later with an excited response to say the least.

I soon hear a ringing and I pick up the phone and am met with a sweet smile. "Sydney!!!, I missed you oh wow it feels weird seeing you but, not being able to hug you he says with sad eyes". Hey don't be sad I missed you too cone. I'm virtually hugging you I say with a light blush forming. "Hah you're blushing".

I am not I say covering my face with my hoodie sleeve.
"I'm kidding Syd he says with a light laugh". I hate you I say uncovering my face. So tell me how's Texas been I ask excitedly? "Texas has been fine from what I remember but I'm just getting settled in L.A. getting used to my classes right now". You should come visit me here sometime he says with hopeful eyes.

Knowing it might not be possible anytime soon I couldn't tell him that especially since I do really wanna vist him soon. I'd love to cone I say with excitement dusting my eyes. I could never pass up on an offer to see you again.

After talking for another or so we hang both now feeling tired. I get into bed feeling happy and forgetting where I am for once. I send another goodnight text to Conan before dozing off for the night.
