Chapter 2- Dates Dates & More Dates?

I change out of my pajamas and make my way to the kitchen to make some breakfast and I pass by rae and her boyfriend cal on the couch watching TV. I was always jealous of their relationship but not in a toxic way just in a aww you two are so cute I wanna find something like that kinda way. My thoughts are interrupted by the sound of the door. I'll get it I yell out. I check the clock on the kitchen wall 10:35... who could that be I'm not expecting anyone I say as I make my way to the door.

Oh Conan hi how are you I ask as I hug him.
"I'm good he says as he chuckles lightly... I just wanted to know if you were free today I wanted to show you around maybe... he says shyly.  I'd love to I say excitedly I go to tell rae I'm leaving and Im soon met with her dark brown eyes eyeing me and Conan. Oh hi rae I don't know if you two have met before but this is our neighbor Conan I say stepping aside for them to meet.

Conan steps inside to shake her hamd and I go and loop my arm in his and tell rae were going off to explore some of the area. "Hey uhhh syd before you go could I talk to you for a sec"? Yeah sure uhhh cone I'll meet you outside is that ok? "Yeah sure take your time I'll be by my car he says with a smile". Yeah what's up rae?

I thought I was gonna show you around? Well we were but Conan offered and you've been busy with your boyfriend I say with a tight smile. "Why are you bringing him into this"? Because if I didn't I'd just look like I'm ditching you but, I'm not I'm hanging out with a friend he's gonna show me around it's not like you can't another day. Anyway I gotta go conan's waiting for me.

I head over to Conan's car and hop inside.
"Hey I didn't get to open the door for you he says with a pout". I poke his cheek hey you can always get it next time I say with a smile. His face lights up and says deal as he starts the car. So where to first I ask him? "Oh it's a surprise but, it's one of my favorite spots to shop at it's essential if I'm being honest". Well I'm looking forward to it I say once again with a bright smile. Conan turns the radio on and starts singing whatever song was playing and I soon found out how beautiful his voice was.

Oh my god Conan why didn't you tell me you could sing I say with excitement? "I don't know it just never came up he says with a giggle". *Well how bout you- can you sing huh he asks eying me softly as the light turns red"? Oh I mean I sing here and there but... "Really sing something". Oh I don't know conan. "Oh come on please I'd love to hear you he says as he starts driving again". Ok what should I sing cone? "Hmm style by Taylor Swift and don't say you don't know it otherwise we can't be friends. Omg I love her and it's one of my favorites are you kidding. I start singing style and look down at my lap too nervous to look over at Conan. "Hey you ok"? Yeah just.. nervous I suppose. "There's no need to be nervous it's just me and wow you were amazing your voice is beautiful syd". Aww Conan thank you- you really mean it? "Of course you sounded amazing"!

We get to Conan's favorite cafe and he opens the door for me and I once again loop my arm through his and let him escort me into the cafe. For some reason I felt nervous yet so safe and at peace when I'm with Conan.
"Hey you've gone quiet again... what's on your mind he asks sincerely"? Oh I'm just thinking about how safe i feel with you around... and oh my god I can't believe I said that out loud I say as I feel my cheeks heat up.

He pinches my cheek and says aww that's sweet I.. I feel the same". You're easy to talk to like you'd never judge or hurt me.. it's funny cause we barely know each other when you think about it he says as he looks down at our arms.

I unhook our arms thinking he's uncomfortable as we stop at the entrance but, he opens the door for me and holds my hand. "Don't worry about it you're fine he says with a light laugh". He walks me to a booth and we start talking about singing and writing songs together until the waiter comes to take our order.

I notice how cute the waiter was and I think Conan noticed my attraction towards him cause he looks down sadly playing with his new bracelet I gave him. Hey- now I'm asking you ok cone? "Yeah... just a little hungry is'all.
Ok I say still unsure but, not wanting to push him.

I look at Conan as if he's the only person in this world, he's the only person who gets me who really understands me yet we barely know each other, we're still practically strangers yet knowing each other feels like it could have happened a thousand times over.

I find myself dozing off on the grass with my head laying on Conans shoulder. Conan lifts his hand up slightly and I grab it softly and ask him how he is... really? "I'm doing great since you're here... you've been so hard to get in touch with lately even though you live next door he says with a sad chuckle. Hey don't worry I'm not going anywhere ever that's a promise cone I say making him smile down at me.

"Good I can't ever lose you he says as he ruffles my hair.
We sit and talk until the night falls. We always get lost in each other's voices and in our eyes we just become mesmerized by each other's presence. I've never felt such peace from a human being before. Conan pulls out his guitar from his side and starts singing a song of his he never released and I just lay back down in the  moment hoping to never forget it.
