(Au where Fievel didn't find his parents.)

(Hope you enjoy.)

Tony stares at Fievel with betrayal.

Knife still in the little kid hands, Fievel backed away a few feet to distance himself from the one who tried keeping him here.

"I'm sorry, Tony." Fievel apologised softly, closing his eyes as tears blurred. "I..I..can't stay."

Sobs threatened in pushing done his speech. To permanently be his language. It seemed all Fievel did was cry.

He needed to save it for the jobs.

I've changed to much.

He wiped the tears off. Walking out slowly to incase Tony changed his mind and let Fievel have one more chance and redeem himself.

...A hand touched his shoulder.

Tony's eyes held understanding. He'd been on the streets once. Protecting everything he considers important. Only him.

Without friends, Tony's heart turned cold.

"I know Fievel, I know."

Fievel suddenly hugged the older mouse. The child inside wanted attention, affection, and someone in life to live for.

Fievel had no one.

How he wanted that fact changing. If he stuck around Tony, maybe he'd learn the ropes of a better life. Visit people and grow to care.

"You wanna see you're family?"

He lifted Fievel in his arms. Clutching the child mouse tight, he felt Fievel nod into the crook of his neck seeking comfort.

Tony never denied him.

Adjusting Fievel in his grip, Tony started heading to visit some old friends. He could tell chaos would ensue when they'd meet.

Honestly, he'd hoped it to be the opposite.

Fievel fell asleep by the time they arrived.

The mousekewitz's lived in a humble abode. Not the smallest, also not the biggest. The perfect of a normal family of four.

Soon to be five.

If everything went well.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Tony knocked three times. An older man opened the door facing Tony. He had a kind smile.

"Hello, old friend!"

"Hey, sir." Tony placed Fievel behind his back. "I need to talk to you."

"Oh, sure!"

He held out an arm and Tony travelled inside. To his luck, all the family were gathered inside one room.

"Sir, ma'am. Tanya?"

They all glanced in confusion. Curiosity peaked as Tony shook the sleeping form and presented him.

"Here's Fievel."

The mentioned stretched awake with a yawn. Looking his new surroundings in somewhat fear. A familiar face made eye contact.

"Tanya?"

"Fievel."

The family were now reunited. Fievel froze as he mind register the events occurring at the present.

His was back with his family.
