"Yes, apples."

"What colour?."

"Anyone at all, just apples." I smiled as the short tanned woman began shoving both green and red apples into a bag, handing it to me afterwards, I took it and gave her her money.

I came back to Tennessee for only one reason...

To get away from Beyoncé.

Everything was moving in a rush. I'd never been in an actual relationship before, I didn't know what the actual fuck I was feeling. But I did know it was moving wayy too fast..

Flashback...

"I'm sorry, couldn't find any towels." She said with her hands unknowingly pressing her boobs together.

I couldn't speak. We both just stood there, looking at each other with nothing buy dry mouths.

"Well... This is awkward." I said as my eyes ran up and down her body repeatedly. She stood there playing with her hands, with her head hung low.

"Can I get something to wear?." She asked, finally looking at me. She was acting soo submissive, usually there'd be at least a banter going on between us.

"Yeah sure, help yourself." I opened up my wardrobe and watched her select what she needed, settling on a pair of booty shorts and my favourite pink hoodie. She's lucky she's a close friend... I do not play with that hoodie.

I picked out a couple of clothes to sleep, myself and walked into the bathroom to have a bath. I came out to see Beyoncé on the bed, her curly hair covering her face. She was already asleep.

I'm kinda thankful for that. It was getting weird..

I climbed beside her and laid on my back, letting out a sigh as I processed my thoughts. The lights were off living the room dark with only the sound of trees outside the house to be heard. I felt nothing except the soft bed and the coolness of the AC. Everywhere felt like the way my heart did, cold and dark... til I met her.

She brought out a different side.. The part that cared, but it was creeping me out cause it was moving too fast, there was no time to figure out my thoughts.

Flashback over..

The next day she woke up and couldn't stop apologising and insisted I took her home before breakfast, was it the wine?. When she got home she couldn't stop calling me, but I didn't respond.. I needed space, some time to myself.

So I avoided her for the past seven days..

Luckily she didn't think to come to my house, today I decided to go back to Tennessee cause I knew eventually she'd show up at my house.

"Open this door the fuck up!." I yelled, repeatedly ringing the doorbell.

"If you don't stop ringing that door bell, I'll yank it right off the wall and shove it in your asshole!." Amala yelled back as she opened the door. My eyes met hers which held a cold glare in them. Well someone's not happy to see me..

I slightly pushed her aside and walked in dropping my bags in the passage way and the bag of apples on the table.

I turned to her to see the glare still on her face. I opened the bag and pulled out an apple.

"Apple?." I asked as I held a red apple to her with a bright smile.

"Do I look like snow white to you?." The glare got even angrier.

"No Amala, no you do not." I smiled, shoving the apple in my mouth and taking a seat.

"Why you here!?. I told you not to come, now!." Oh yes, I told her I was coming back to Tennessee and she said I shouldn't, I didn't know why so I didn't listen. Not like I would've listened if I knew why anyway.

"Yes, yes you did. But I did not listen." I shrugged. I crossed my legs on the table and kept eating my apple.

"Get your short legs down. You're avoiding Beyoncé aren't you?." She asked, pushing my legs off the table and sitting next to me.

"Ugh yes." I rolled my eyes. "The last time she came to my house things got all weird and... Weird. And I hate to admit but I might like her so, but everything's moving tooo fucking fast so I kinda panicked and came here." I shrugged. She facepalmed and shook her head.

"Ms. Maraj." She sighed. "Onika, you gotta stop running away from your problems."

"Who said I was running?." I asked, she cocked a questioning eyebrow at me. "Well even if I am... Which I ain't... It's not my fault, Danica trained me to always run away from problems I can't solve, we always solve our problems through shooting at it, and I can't shoot Beyoncé or her feelings so there-"

"Get you a therapy session." She said cutting me off. I rolled my eyes and looked at the staircase to see Summer coming downstairs. She had on a flowy flower print yellow dress with her hair slicked into bun with two strands hanging down each side of her face, her face was bare with nothing but lipgloss and mascara on. Her belly bump, which was now slightly bigger showed clearly in the dress.

"Babe I'm ready." She said to Amala as she came downstairs. Her eyes widened as she saw me, while mine squinted.

"Excuse me, babe!?." I asked as I looked at Amala. She held her head down and rubbed the back of her neck nervously. My eyes squinted as I raised my eyebrows and bit my lip.

"Is there sumn you're not saying, Dlamini?."

"We're dating." She voiced out.

"When, How!." See now when you keep moving from state to state, you miss out on the good stuff.

"The night you called. We were alone that night then it started raining and the power went out for a while. Summer said she's scared of the dark so I lit a candle and we talked to get her mind off the fact that it was still dark. We got sooo into the conversation and made out, by the time the power came back on, we were already in the bathroom." She smirked.

"Sooo you fucked her pregnant punani?." I asked squinting.

"Yes!. Is that all you got from what I said?." I shrugged. She sighed. "She's just really fun to be around."

"And besides with the way she cares for me it was bound to happen." Summer giggled.

"Wow!." I mouthed looking at them both. The relationship was still shocking to me.

"Its also why, we didn't want you home. Ming was out this morning so...I wanted to take her out and have a day with just the two of us." Amala shrugged.

"Awww-" I was cut off by the door opening and Ming coming in with a huge grin on her face. She closed the door and leaned her back on it as we heard a car drive off outside.

"You look like ass." I smiled. She ignored me and kept grinning.

"Y'all, I think I'm in love." She said as her chest heaved heavily. Amala smiled at her as my face wrinkled.
