Michael Simonelli was only 5'2. From the distance between the living room and the bedroom, he wouldn't fit the description of a 'big man' according to Denis Potoski. His android-turned-deviant, Xander, however, was 6'2. The standard height of a male CyberLife android model.
This description fits perfectly with Connor's newest reconstruction of the crime scene. Simonelli waited for Aiden Potoski to arrive home and hid in the kitchen. The confrontation happened in the living room, which escalated until Xander struck Aiden from behind with a blunt object. Then, shot the victim quick and straight through the heart.
"You know, I find it funny," said AJ, sitting opposite of the interrogation table with her legs fold and arms casually leaning over the backrest of the chair.
"When we came to your apartment, we just wanted to inform you of your step-father's death – that's all. We didn't even suspect you."
"But then, you ran, Mikey." Connor made up a little nickname to intimidate him.
"Michael, where were you the night your step-father was murdered?" AJ asked.
Michael was fidgeting with his fingernails intensely, "I was– I was home."
"Don't you have to ask what the date was?" Connor pressed him. He then shouted, "Don't lie to us!"
"Michael, have you tried reconnecting with your step-father?" She asked.
"No!" Michael lied, "I don't even give a fuck about him, OK? I don't know why the fuck you're asking me this."
"Yes, you do!" Connor shouted right into his ears. He finally flinched.
Inside a yellow file, Connor flipped his criminal records open, right in front of him. He made him look carefully at the things he has been arrested for, "Disorderly conduct, curfew violations, vandalism of public property – all throughout your teenage years. You've always been one troubled kid, Mike."
AJ looked into Michael's eyes. His face turning pink like a brat in a candy store. She said to him, "But all of that stopped when you were sixteen, isn't that right? Aiden came into your mother's life and yours too. Michael, you realized that all you needed was a father figure, right?"
"Until he abandoned you!" Connor shouted into his left ear this time. Michael flinched again. "What happened next? Mommy got back on that high road? What was it? Red ice? Meth? It was heroin, wasn't it?"
Shortly before the interrogation, Connor found the death record of Michael Simonelli's biological mother. She died of an overdose in their own house and Michael had to be the first to discover her body. Michael must have blamed Aiden for her death.
"Fuck you, you android motherfucker!" He finally snapped.
Connor definitely hit a nerve with that one and his reaction confirmed everything they theorized. She watched the 22-years old man turn back into his 16-years old bratty self. He was breathing irregularly and rubbing his face in vigorous anxiety.
"What about your android friend, Michael?" AJ had the wheels on the interrogation and she just turned the conversation around. "Did Aiden give that to you as a gift? To look after you, right?"
"You already know what they're going to do to that poor little robot! They're gonna tear off his limbs one by one and pick his brains apart. You're going to let them do that? You're going to let Xander fry for this!" Connor further provoked him.
"Don't do that, Michael. Don't let Xander take the whole rap for this. Tell us your side of the story. What happened that night after you waited for Aiden to put his son to sleep?" AJ asked again.
