A little while has passed now. We see Dodo's eyes open as she recovers from the strange attack. After rubbing herself, she gets up confused at what just happened. She jumps up and rushes over to the Doctor.

Dodo:

Doctor? Doctor, are you alright?

The Doctor is helped up by Dodo as he recovers too.

Doctor:

Ah. Yes, Dodo. I'm quite alright. Thank you, yes, thank you. Are you alright, my dear?

Dodo:

I'm ok, Doctor. What do you think that fuzzing cloud was?

Doctor:

Well, we will have to see what the ship says.

The Doctor investigates the console, as Dodo looks up to the scanner.

Dodo:

We seem to be out of it at least.

Doctor:

The ship... can't seem to... understand what has happened. The TARDIS seems to think that everything is running ordinarily. Strange. If the TARDIS can't begin to analyse what we passed through, then how could we? Dear, dear. How frustrating. Perhaps the Fault Locator will be able to tell me.

The Doctor heads around to the Fault Locator booth, as Dodo looks up to the scanner and sees the vast space around them – seeming all quite normal. The Doctor hums to himself as he reads the data from the sheets from the Fault Locator.

What on earth is happening to my ship? It cannot deduce the strange energy field that we have clearly entered in. Perhaps it may have affected us inside. Or something significant to my ship. Hiding and waiting. Hmph. Yes. But these readings here show that there is nothing wrong. Nothing wrong at all. I should let my own scientific deductions of one's basic intellect come to one's own conclusions.

Dodo:

Are you alright in there?

The Doctor has exited out to brief Dodo.

Doctor:

Yes my dear. It appears that we will have to go our thinking about what happened to the TARDIS.

Dodo:

You mean go off our gut feeling?

Doctor:

Gut? Gut feeling?

Dodo:

You know, how you think on the inside about what has happened.

Doctor:

Ms. Chaplet, we scientists don't tend to consult our guts and prefer to follow our own measured calculations.

Dodo:

Then what did the Fault Locator say?

Doctor:

Well... it said that there is nothing wrong at all. Now unless the field had no lasting effects on the TARDIS, or it has affected us in some way...

Dodo:

You see, you are consulting your gut. The way you feel about something. Like when somethings up you just know there is something wrong.

Doctor:

Yes my dear. You do seem to have a point there. But I know I am not going to let this slip.

Dodo:

Well, whilst you still think about what happened, let's see where we are. We will be landing soon.

Doctor:

Hmph?

We hear the TARDIS materializing, as the time column begins to slow down.

Dodo:

We've landed. Where you said you wanted us to be and visit some old friends?

Doctor:

Hmm! I will see about that, Dodo!

The Doctor adjusts the scanner, and we see the setting of London in 1966. The TARDIS has landed down an urban street. We see a bunch of semi-detached houses lined up to the right-hand side with a park to the left, and the vehicles parked on that side of the thin road.

Dodo:

Hay, it looks like you've brought me home.

The Doctor reads the Yearometre.

Doctor:

I have perhaps indeed, my dear. Inadvertently. We are in 1966 so it seems back on your planet.

Dodo:

And in London. Trust me I can tell by the setting outside. The registration numbers and houses and things.

Doctor:

Yes, yes. Well, a breath of fresh air would be good as I ponder about what just happened to my ship.

Dodo:

You know Doctor, sometimes I wonder whether that TARDIS of yours has a mind of its own.

Doctor:

Indeed it does Dodo, a mind of its own I can perfectly control. Perhaps I may have programmed the TARDIS to meet someone of an old acquaintance. Come along outside, and I shall prove it to you.

The Doctor switches the little grey device to open the doors, and he and Dodo leave...
