It's the day I'm dreading the most. I don't want to go at all. Please don't let me go.

I wake up from my wonderful sleep. But at what cost? Todays the day we leave for New York City.

"Brandon, Zoe wake up you guys are gonna make us late!" Mom yells from down stairs.

Well, ain't I already up! "Ok, okay I'm waking up! I'll be down in 5 mins let me brush my teeth and use the bathroom."  Brandon groans, as he stomps to the bathroom.

I yell back "Yeah, I'm doing the same I'll be down in 5."

I gather up my fruity pebbles at the table. I would never let anyone tell me fruity pebbles are the worst cereal! I mean, who doesn't love these pebbles full of flavors to wake you up? I grab my bowl and some milk. As I walked back to the table, it seems like no one else was eating fruity pebbles. It was all Kellogs.

"Oh, so no one likes fruity pebbles now?" I ask.

"No, Kellogs be way better than yours!" Layla snaps back. Although she is the youngest and is somehow my favorite sibling, she is very spiteful to anyone, no matter who they are!

I make my breakfast as fast as I can so I can catch up to everyone else. Rushing while eating sucks. I can never enjoy my delicious cereal. It's funny how every time I decide to eat this cereal, we are in a rush to get somewhere. I finished my cereal and threw my dishes into the sink. Then I remembered we are going to be out for 2 weeks so I quickly rinsed the dishes and threw them into the dishwasher. We all rush through the front door to get to the car.

It always somehow goes in this order when my family goes out. It's like our designated seats. Dad in the driver's seat, Mom in the passenger's seat, Layla and me in the next row, and Brandon and Nico in the back seats. They always pick a fight in the back seats but no one knows what they fight about. This time they weren't in a fight with each other, but with someone younger.

Layla finally speaks up after staring at the radio for a moment. "Can we listen to music? Please, mommy?"

"Yes, we can listen to music. What would you like to listen to?" Moms answers.

"Put my playlist on please. It has all of my favorite music!" Layla smiles, turning her head to the back.

"I don't wanna listen to 'Layla's Playlist!' That stuff is all baby music and it sucks." Nico yells from the back.

"We're gonna be there soon, so it doesn't matter. We're 5 mins away." Dad speaks out.

"Fine." Nico says, rolling his eyes and looking at Brandon. Brandon shrugs.

As we pull into the parking lot of the airport, we get all of our stuff out of the trunk of the car.

It took us a full hour waiting in line for security and finding our gate. We got distracted on the way and got donuts while the parents got coffee and tea.

We pull up to Gate B munching on our delicious donuts. We sit down on the row of seats near the outlets to charge our phones and laptops for the flight.

It's been a while since we sat down. What is taking so long for this flight to finally come? I can't stand all this waiting! Suddenly, speakers for gate B light up. We jump up and start to walk up to the line when the person on the speaker says, "The New York City Flight on Gate B Is Cancelled. We will be returning in 3 hours. Sorry for the dis-convenience"

Everyone including us groans and sighs loudly. Seems like everyone was disappointed.

Why this now?

Why does this happen?

Can it get any worse?

THIS LITERALLY MEANS MORE WAITING!!

We walk back to our seats, angry. Why does this happen now?

"Now what are we gonna do!" Nico asks. "Nothing. What else do you think we're going to do. We're gonna sit here and wait for 3 hours." Brandon replies.

"ugh!" Nico yells out.

"Can everyone ever stop fighting? All you guys do is yell at each other. Cut it out, or you three are grounded." she says angrily pointing at Brandon, Nico, and me.

I gasp. I didn't even say anything! "What did I do this time?" I ask confused as to why I would get grounded.

"Plus, why are you grounding us? Aren't we going on a trip?" Nico asks acting smart.

"Don't start with me, you too! Zoe, you know what you did last night at dinner. Nico, you were fighting with Layla about music, but we all know what Brandon did and thankfully he is not asking why he is getting grounded." Mom says pissed.

"wait so it's official-" Nico talks back but pauses immediately when Mom turned and looked at him with a shut-up-or-you're-getting-it face.

After that, no one dared to speak up. Layla and I were watching YouTube videos and Brandon and Nico were playing games on there phones.

                          Three Hours later

"New York City plane ride is ready on Gate B." The speaker yells. We all rush to the plane line, trying to get first in line. We get our tickets ready and we head for the plane. The flight attendant greeted us at the front with a  welcoming smile. She looks up and down at us like she was examining our clothing. We get to our row. All my siblings and I get the four seats in the middle while our parents took the window seats. Now we are ready to go to New York City.

A/N
This is my second chapter of the book so far.
I don't know how I feel about the book right now.
I'm not gonna stop writing but I feel like the first couple of parts are boring.
So I might not post every day.
But if you guys like the story so far let me know in the comments so I know to keep writing the book. And I will try to make a schedule so I can get this done anyways.
